Friendly staff with good english

Room not new but clean, breakfast is OK compared with other hotel in the same rate.
7.7
The rooms are not new but clean. Good quality of food for the breakfast the local is ok if you want to spend some time visiting the old / active part of hanoi. you will be directly in the middle of the action. pay attention to the a/c, every time you remove the key it is shutdown ... to avoid to wake up in the middle of the nigth it is better to check the a/c every time.. taxi, restaurant toor reservation can be made by the front desk at reasonnable prices and with good advice
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: Must go to Halong Bay and if you have time for 2 days 1night should be sufficient. Of course there are longer stays but be prepare to be on coach bus for 4 hours journey one way to Halong Bay, so overnight stay onboard is fine. Check out the best offer and package not just at the hotel but also travel agencies outside/around Old Quarter areas.

Nice breakfast, smart clean rooms

we had a great time staying in this hotel, really nice rooms and bathrooms and very easy to walk around the old town area from here. staff all very friendly and helpful. we were really impressed when we arrived as the reception area looked very smart. the hotel stored our bags conveniently for us when we went on a boat trip to halong bay. the included breakfast was very good with a good range of options. we also used the gym here which was useful.

hello, the hotel is pretty clean even if the rooms are not new. good phonique isolation and good quality of food for the breakfast the local is ok if you want to spend some time visiting the old / active part of hanoi. you will be directly in the middle of the action. pay attention to the a/c, every time you remove the key it is shutdown ... to avoid to wake up in the middle of the nigth it is better to check the a/c every time.. taxi, restaurant toor reservation can be made by the front desk at reasonnable prices and with good advice
Shopping Tip: hello, in hanoi the chinese way of behaving is much more present compare to the south of vietnam, so don't be surprise by the apparent aggressiveness of the people and their physical way of behaving, nothing personal just the normal way. don't hesitate to argue and to request much lower price start at 1/3 of the initial request.

Great hotel, location and price

Old Quarter location, close enough to lake, nice staff, big room, hot water, decent enough breakfast, gym

Great value for money. Gym was a bonus, good quality running machines. No problems. Room was on 2nd floor but windows are pretty sound proof.
Restaurant Tip: Try the green tangerine at lunch time as they have good deals. Its an award winning French Vietnamese restaurant.

Good location near to places to go

Clean, Quiet and Comfy stay

overall was a pleasant 4 nights stay in superior room at quoc hoa hotel in old quarters area. good for single to 2 persons stay in this room. apart from rooms, not much facility within this hotel. small gym, cafe for breakfast and thats about it. however, its a clean and peaceful environment to stay in and quite secure with access card to each room. if breakfast inclusive is alright with beef noodle, bread and toast, fried rice or fried noodle, porridge and some fruits etc. and generally the hotel staffs are helpful and can speak english to communicate with.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: Must go to Halong Bay and if you have time for 2 days 1night should be sufficient. Of course there are longer stays but be prepare to be on coach bus for 4 hours journey one way to Halong Bay, so overnight stay onboard is fine. Good location in the heart of Hanoi's Old Quarter

Location

A pleasant enough hotel, nicely located in the heart of Hanoi's Old Quarter and within easy walking distance to most of the city's attractions, such as Hoan Kiem Lake, Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Army Museum, Water Puppet Theatre, etc. Friendly, helpful staff. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Food was ok, although the mainly Italian menu was a bit limiting after a few days. Breakfast was ok, adequate but nothing special. The traditional Vietnamese paintings throughout the hotel and in the bedrooms were a nice touch

Spacious Rooms, great location

My room had a large 'lounge' area which isn't too common in Vietnamese hotels. Service was great. They recommended a very good Pho place. Breakfast was decent.

Central location

friendly staff

room was big and clean. nice welcome fruit platter for us. friendly and helpful staff. central location. opt for rooms that don't face the main road as noise pollution is always at an all time high particularly in the old quarters.
Restaurant Tip: just 2 mins by foot and you arrive at the best pho bo (vietnamese beef noodle soup) in the whole of hanoi - pho bat dan (49 bat dan street). also a 3 min walk away is the famous hang manh dac kim 'bun cha' - rice vermicelli noodles with bbq pork patties (end of hang manh). a definite must-try is this street vendor who operates at night only selling out-of-this-world 'pho xao' - pan fried rice noodles with fragrant beef and vegetable toppings. she is located 1 min from the hotel opposite 23 hang thiec street, many locals eat here and the food is simple fare but packs more than a punch where flavour is concerned!
