Perfect location for museums and harrods

Staff were unbelievably friendly and helpful throughout. Superb location - we were there for concert at royal Albert hall then shopping at Harrods. Lovely breakfast.
Superb visit from start to finish. We were there for concert at Royal Albert Hall so was great to be able to walk and save on taxis. Next day we went to Harrods so again walkable. Also close to museums. We had 2 single rooms - yes small but all you need for a nights stay. We were asked what floor we wanted them on and he made an effort to place us next door to each other. Would definitely recommend as a hotel - we will use again.

2* service

location. architecture.
A very disappointing stay. My room was no better than a converted cupboard tucked up around the back of the staircase, the entrance door was 2/3 of the normal size and the shower/toilet room was so small you could not even open the door properly - I thought this was quite insulting. Having said this, the room was at least clean and the bed although tiny thankfully wasnt as uncomfortable as it looked. I did however end up having to pay another GBP50 for an upgrade to a normal size room as the cabin-fever was getting too much! The shocking part of my stay was the total lack of knowledge of the concierge. 1. they didnt even know which way High St. Kensington was and promptly sent me in totally the wrong direction! 2. When asked where the nearest side street local pub was, they had no idea ( I had to go outside and ask a taxi driver who took me just around the corner!)3. When I asked if there were any late night eateries open in the area I was told a definite no - and as it turned out just within a 30 ft walk around the corner onto the main road was a 24 hour KFC and a row of late night takeaways! Another unfortunate experience was when ordering drinks at the bar, the barman happily took pre-payment for two rounds of nightcaps, only to tell me later with no warning that it was too late for the drinks to be served (note the concierge once again had misinformed me of the opening times)- GBP36 had been paid and it was a challenge to get my money back. A very disappointing chain of events, my advice to the hotel operator: if you want to charge premium prices for lower than average accommodation then at least train your staff properly! There are many other hotels which offer a better all round experience. I would not stay here again.

No real Value for Money

Breakfast was the best in hotel I had for years
- room next to some engine (noise) - design of the room very outdated - value for money low

Nice location

location, breakfast, and cleanliness
The room was really small. The hotel is very convenient to all the tourist attractions in town. Great breakfast and helpful staff.

Review on Radisson Blu Edwardian Vanderbilt Hotel

Comfort, Cleanliness and Location
Walking distance to Metro station. Comfortable and high level of cleanliness. Only bad point was the structure of the hotel rooms were a little difficult to move around.
