Nice hotel, not worth 1000 usd a night

the room, the beach, the sushi restaurant
The room is very comfortable altough the design is a bit outdated and has many signs of neglect even tough the hotel is pretty new. Practically no toiletries were given... The food is good, not excellent, but it's really pricy, there's no way to have dinner for less than 100 usd per person and lunch for less than 50 usd per person. In almost every aspect I would say that the hotel shows a poor effort: the spa is definetely not worth the price, treatments are below any 5 star hotel standard, you're not offered slippers or a drink like in every other hotel... the spa area is tiny!!! At the pool restaurant I was served a sandwich and the bread had mold, the waiter deducted it from my check... but still, it's ridiculous!! On the way from the airport to the hotel the car driver hit another vehicle and we had to wait at the police station, after a couple of days I received a box of macarons and two days later a letter apologizing for the incident... it feels like there's no supervision at all. The band at the bar drove us away as far a we could it was truly awful... like a really cheap weddng band and it was so loud that you could hear it at the restaurant!!!! Service at the beach and pool was pretty bad. Taking all of this into consideration, I still believe that Raffles is one of the best options in Seychelles, I could tell that the standards in this country are very far from what you get in maldives, mexico or other popular luxury beach spots.

Paradise ...

The beach, the room, the service
Fantastic. The location is dreamy, the room and facilities are excellent and the staff are extremely attentive and friendly; truly 5-star service Only thing which could be improved is wider range of dining options as after a couple of meals you exhaust all available options

Best hotel from my life

Everything was perfect
Raffles Praslin is amazing, best hotel experience in my life. View, cleanness, staff, food, facilities, everything good, all really good. Only very small remark is that you need to go to your villa by hotel electric cars and sometimes is boring to wait for them, except that all good. Worth every penny of yr money, could be a little cheaper, but...

Beautiful Location, Beach, Drivers
Being a Raffles hotel we were expecting more, unfortunately the hotel was fully occupied during our stay and it was noticeable that the staff were overworked and under pressure and the service suffered during our stay and corners were cut when "cleaning" the room. Overall the location and villas are well equipped and in a beautiful position, although if you are hoping for a villa with privacy and not being overlooked then this will not be for you. The limited choice of activities/menu options are fine for a few days stay but nothing much longer.

Fantastic hotel at a remote location

Room quality, staff kindness and silent surroundings
Whilst the arrival was perfect, the leave was not. The senior staff 'Luc' tried to cheat us with the taxi fare of 1,100Rupees for a 20min drive back to the airport, but the way Airport to the hotel only costs us 350. This incident spoils a little our general fantastic impression. However this was the only bad experience during our stay in this fabulous hotel with perfect rooms and outstanding staff service. As usual in remote areas and hotels of this standard any food and consumption order will heavily set back your account. However this was one of our best vacations ever, so we enjoyed our stay a lot.
