About Railay Bay Resort & Spa

Description

One of only a handful of resorts with beachfront access to Krabi’s famed Railay Beach, the 4-star Railay Bay Resort & Spa is ideally situated on a white sandy beach with crystal clear water, exotic marine life, and colorful coral reefs. Nature can be truly enjoyed with the limestone cliffs of Railay, the beaches of Phra Nang and Ao Nang, as well as the Phra Nang Cave. Whether you are dining in the Railay Restaurant, relaxing on the beach, or enjoying the view from each room’s spacious private balconies, you will never have to miss the amazing sunrises and sunsets. Coconut trees and tropical fauna decorate the beautifully landscaped grounds, accenting such facilities as the outdoor pool and spa with a hot tub and massage treatments. If you’re looking for a special and unique experience, look no further than Railay Bay Resort & Spa.

3 day get away
Staff was inattentive slow service and drunk smokers at pool were not addressed. Requested extra towels and was told there would be a charge. Changed room because of stagnant water drain smell filling room. Location was great. While staff is friendly service and giving clear answers to question related to resort and transportation were lacking

Beautiful hotel on a beautiful beach
My Girlfriend and I spent 2 nights at Railay Bay Resort and Spa and had a wonderful overall experience. If not for a few minor things I would've rated it 5 stars across the board. The included breakfast was underwhelming. Just eat the fresh fruit. Also the Air Conditioner in Room 6004 was struggling to cool the room down. Aside from that everything else about this place is great. We had a lot of fun and are looking forward to coming back.

Room was "upgraded"
Arrived and our room was booked, so we were upgraded to a privacy villa. The room itself was great, very large. However it was at the very back of the property, almost over looking the east beach instead of the west. It was a long and gross walk to our room, down this weird dirty alley way. Like a 500 meter walk to the pool, beach, and breakfast. Needless to say, it was not an "upgrade" Pros: location, pool with a view, good breakfast, monkeys and cats, helpful staff Cons: long walk to the pool, upgraded room was not an upgrade, limited beach chairs

Railay
Staff super very attentive and helpful without in your face, breakfast poor, coffee stewed and tobacco like - i think a moslem hotel as no bacon ir good sausage. Our room was delux villa, it was very tired, lacking paint and scruffy. I think they may be in the pricess of updating. The location is great, there are many bars and restaurants, you do not have to play 'towel longer bingo' around the pool - its is getting like Spain, and ruins it for all.

Nice hotel, shame about some of the staff
After a minor booking mix-up the front of house manager and reception team dealt with it in a very unsatisfactory way. I felt they were arrogant, were unwilling to help and they appeared to just want to make sure that the dollars kept rolling in. Despite this we enjoyed our stay in a privacy suite. It has a jacuzzi outside which doubled up as a splash pool for our two kids. The pools at the hotel are great, and very warm, especially the one at the back. Breakfast was pretty decent and the hotel's location couldn't be any better. Railay beach is very beautiful but slightly more developed than I expected. Also the noise of the long tail boats on west Railay beach is a bit irritating.

Great Place to Stay
The resort staff and food were outstanding. Our unit was near the sewage, so the smell was not great. As for a room in the middle of the units. Great snorkeling, kayaking, rock climbing, and swimming. Has it all!!!

Lovely location and great hotel
The hotel is in a prime spot on the Railay beach and has very good facilities. We only ate at the breakfast buffet which catered for all and from the lunchtime menu which was also a bit expensive but standard hotel bar food. The resort had families, couples and groups of friends staying. Their information centre prices tended to be a bit higher for transfers and trips than could be found elsewhere on the island and were not prepared to barter or price match, so best to shop around. I would highly recommend and hope to return to this resort again sometime.

Just Loved Railay Beach Resort
My only problem with Railay Beach Bay and Resort was that we had to leave. Great rooms , great breakfast spread , great staff ,affordable food and drink , more than reasonable market on site , a plethora of food options all within a short walk , beautiful beaches , great helpful hard working staff , great pools , and did I mention cute little monkeys on the west side ? Would highly recommend for a nice leisurely vacation !!
