Nature can be truly enjoyed with the limestone cliffs of Railay, the beaches of Phra Nang and Ao Nang, as well as the Phra Nang Cave. Whether you are dining in the Railay Restaurant, relaxing on the beach, or enjoying the view from each room’s spacious private balconies, you will never have to miss the amazing sunrises and sunsets. Coconut trees and tropical fauna decorate the beautifully landscaped grounds, accenting such facilities as the outdoor pool and spa with a hot tub and massage treatments. If you’re looking for a special and unique experience, look no further than Railay Bay Resort & Spa.

Poor service

Location, the private room, the views
Beautiful location & amazing views. Unfortunatly the food was not very good, lacked flavour & the buffet breakfasts lacked variety. The service from staff was disapointing, they were slow & not very friendly or helpful.

A little dated

Location, quiet and staff.
Stay was good but I would not rush back. Staff were helpful but breakfast was not up to standard. Some of the areas within the grounds of the hotel need to be tidied up and rubbish disposed of.

Great Location for a holiday

The location, the beach, the reception staff
Excellent, the reception staff were extremely helpful and when we had a problem with our bed they sorted it out straight away. The restaurant was a little poorly staffed. The waiting staff were not overly attentive and the quality and range of food wasn't what you'd expect given the surroundings. We found an amazing restaurant around the corner so are there most days.

Food, check out service and the pool
It was to much people there and it was quite old and worn down. Railay is maybe good for younger people that want to party. Railay beach was very dirty and a lot of rubbish everywhere. I will never stay there again.

Location, gardens, room
We stayed one night and wished it was more! The hotel is huge with a resort like feel. Great pool overlooking the sea. The hotel runs from the main beach to the other side of the island which was where our rooms were overlooking the sea, a mere 5 mins walk to the main reception/restaurant/breakfast etc. We booked 2 x deluxe rooms-myself/husband and two teenager sons. The rooms were superb, huge, large balcony and large bathroom. The only negative was the bed was extremely hard, like sleeping on a plank of wood. The aircon was terrific, cold and very quiet whilst sleeping. The breakfast buffet was SENSATIONAL - cannot fault any of it, absolutely delicious with a huge variety to chose from. I highly recommend this hotel and plan on visiting again in the not too distant future for a longer stay. p.s. we booked our return transfer to the airport through the hotel which was around AUD$10 cheaper than through a local operator. We had a hotel staff member with us at all times.....longboat to the pier in Aonang then a private mini bus transfer to the airport. Very professional and caring hotel.

Beautiful setting, but needs some work

Location, beach, airport shuttle
Like the title says, the resort is located in adjacent to one of the most picturesque beaches in the world (though the crowds pretty much ruin it), but the hotel needs a lot of work. Having stayed at numerous beach resorts around Krabi, Phuket, and Samui I believe I have a good understanding of what $110+ a night deserves. I think at one point Railay Beach Resort was a 4-star resort, but after 10-15 years it's not. The room looked dirty, worn, and distressed, as though no money had been invested in the resort for years. The service was decent, prompt and polite for normal things. But when I got food poisoning (or possibly a reaction to being exposed to some toxin at the beach) they refused to allow us a late check-out. So I had to lay on the beach praying I wouldn't be sick again, until my ferry came to get me. The food was also decent. I think I'm over "resort food" so I may be a bit biased. The breakfast options were multiple, but not enough western options. The egg/omelet station only had one burner/cook, so ordering eggs always involved a long wait. Only had lunch at the resort once, and it was fine--not great, not terrible. We ate at the sister resort (Railay Beach Princess Resort) for dinner and it was the same quality. Though, it is the last place we ate before I fell sick... Overall, I think we paid too much for what we got. Next time I'd go someplace else--both the resort and the Railay Beach.

Need to improve

Situated on the west beach, no trafik (cars, tuktuk ...), nearto the airport
The pool need to be cleaned regulary, the standard of the cottaged / rooms need to be improved (cleaness, interior, garden need to be cleaned up). The staff have difficult to communicate and understand and accept the requirements from the customers.
