Best part of the room was the bathroom
We got a deal with a superior room with a terrace which was great to spend some time outside of the room. Cables hanging out of the plug sockets, walls cracked, bed broken, dirt in the fridge. It was fine just for sleeping and showering but I wouldn't recommend it as there are better options for the same price. Maybe because it was off-peak, but the room smelt funny and mouldy and the aircon dripped on everything. Breakfast was dodgy; a bowl of banana and watermelon which had crumbled and yellowed from (possibly) the day before. Ants and flies everywhere. Everything looked a bit dirty and I stuck to eating toast. I'm not picky, and I have a strong stomach but I didn't trust eating anything else.

Overpriced
To be honest. I am a modest guy and don't require a lot from Hotels. Neverlethes, I was very, very disappointed of this Hotel. Since there are not many options in Railay, this was one of the few Hotels to pick. But you have to be told, that the rooms are quite dark, old fashioned and the bathroom smells. I would totally not recommend to stay at this place. If you want to see Railay, go to Ao Nang instead. There are more options and you are in Railay in 10-15 minutes (100 Baht) by a Longtail. More than two nice Beaches does Railay anyway not have to offer. Kind Regards.

Horrible service. Just felt like they didn't care at all
If you want to go cheap you're better off going to ao nang or spending a little more and going to a better place. It just feels like they know they are the cheapest option and it shows at every turn. Horrible service, trying to constantly get more money out of you, the lobby is a mess and there is no wifi in the rooms. It just seems like they're taking your money from you and laughing at you behind your back. I'm not angry as much as I want to help people to not make the same mistake. I got a better deal at a nearby place after a couple days and can't believe I stayed at viewpoint at all.

Off the beaten path, but not worth the trek
Railay Beach has two sides, East Railay and West Railay. If you are coming in on a ferry or long tail boat, chances are you’re entering on West Railay Beach. To get over to the East side is about a 20 minute walk. Really not too far, but the beach is on the West side, so it feels a bit out of the way. Railay Viewpoint ‘Resort’ is a huge sprawl of buildings that look like they were all built at different times. Some rooms are really nice, others are pretty poor. We booked standard double rooms, which were pretty standard. The staff was not very accommodating, which was out of the ordinary for Thailand. There was no free drinking water, tea or coffee in the rooms (every hotel we’ve booked has offered these things, which is why I bring it up). They have a lot of listed ‘amenities’ that I’m pretty sure they know do not work. The internet does not work at all, and the TVs don’t even turn on. Again, no big deal because we were at the beach all day, but I want my review to tell the whole story. The free breakfast in the morning was ok… pretty standard hotel breakfast for Thailand. It consisted of a couple Thai dishes, breakfast sausages (like hot dogs), ham, fruit, and toast.

One night stop over
Pool looked lovely, there were a lot of food places close by, fridge in the room is handy.
Staff would glance up at us when we were stood at reception, took them a while to acknowledge we were there and check us in. Beds weren't comfy, very hard, so had a poor nights sleep. Overpriced for somewhere to lay your head for the night.
