Gorgeous gem of a hotel. Rajasthani decor.

A lot of detail has been put into the decor and design of the spacious rooms. Close proximity to Amber Fort and Palace. Helpful staff
Quiet hotel with comfortable bedding. WiFi works in the lobby. Food average and forget the breakfast option as even Indian food was not fresh and enticing. Other restaurants close by for breakfast. Easy autorickshaw ride to the bazaar. Good shopping nearby.

Lovely hotel but management can be cheatful

Tasteful decoration, clean rooms, conveniently located for sight seeing outside Jaipur
the hotel is lovely! very nice decorated (loved the ceiling drawings) and very clean. breakfast and dining were really average. having had a beautiful stay for 2 nights, we decided to extend our stay for 1 more night, which resulted in big and uncomfortable quarrel with the staff, as it appeared in agoda to have 5 rooms available. the hotel refused to give us a room, claiming no availability, unless we paid in cash or pay 30% more than the agoda price by credit card. we decided to book the room through agoda, we got our voucher which we gave to the reception and we were told that they will not give us a room and we should ask for a refund by agoda. after a huge quarrel and threatening to call our embassy, they decided to give us the room as per our agoda voucher. in the end they apologized for the inconvenience but it really destroyed the great impression of our first two days.

Lovely hotel

Beautiful decoration in clean rooms!
It was the most beautiful and clean hotel we stayed in India! Very tastefully decorated (especially the ceilings are a real artwork) with the great bonus of being clean! Staff was professional and catered for our needs. Although almost 5km away from the city center, it was very convenient to visit the major cites (Amber Fort, Nahagarth Fort etc) and reach the city by tuc-tuc.
Shopping Tip: Roam around the city center, close to the City Palace, in narrow streets to discover the real market in Jaipur. Avoid the tourist shops near Hawa Mahal.

Worst Hotel I've Ever Stayed In

I hardly write comments, but I have to in this case, for the benefit of all other travelers. This hotel was easily the worst part of our 2 week stay in India. Let me list the problems: - Rancid smells festered throughout the room, bathroom and hallways. These putrid smells made us nauseous throughout the nights and led to one night of vomitting. - Extremely poor level of cleanliness. The bedsheets were stained, ripped and old. We resorted to placing t-shirts on top of the pillow cases to avoid placing our heads on their sheets and covered our body in clothing. The rest of the room was similarly disgusting, and we attempted to remain outside the hotel as much as possible because of this. - The hotel staff had no regard for their clients peace and quiet. As sleeping was already difficult, they continued to make incessant noise throughout the night and early into the morning. Even at 6-7am in the morning the staff was continuously making loud noises in what could only be an effort to wake all the guests up. - The rooms were freezing cold. While portable heaters were provided upon request, they broke within 1 hour of plugging in. The replacement fared just as well (they were out after these 2).
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: Ask for Salu at the east gate entrance of Taj Mahal.

buyer beware - pretty hotel/not so great location

Decor - very nicely decorated in an authentic fashion
wifi connection is only in the lobby. no safe deposit box in room. this place is not within walking distance to any of the tourist sights. be ready to have to take the auto rickshaw to get anywhere and it's always a battle having to get a decent price. they always want to overcharge you. the next alternative is to hire a driver. do not have the hotel suggest a driver. these people work off commission. if the hotel suggests someone, say no. my experience: they had a driver named "vicky" who tried very hard to be our friend. he has a shop, "quilla arts" where he tried to take us to sell his textiles, paintings, etc. he could also be going by vikas or varun. then he took us to a fake gems dealer and jewelry store. we tried to visit many sites but he kept insisting on taking us shopping. hire a driver from a travel agency and make sure they work for you and not the other way around. good luck!
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: must see: monkey temple, not hamuyan's temple but the one where there's a lot of monkeys. it's on the outskirts of jaipur but totally worth it!

Nice Hotel

so far nothing to complaint
I think Jaipur is a nice city, we should stay 1 more night here, and there are lots of things to see to eat and to shop! The hotel is not bad compared with other India cities we have stayed; at least we got continuous hot running water for my shower in Rajpurtana Haveli! You know what winter time in Golden triangle of India is unexpectedly freezing! Hot water shower and down jacket definitely are the must.
Shopping Tip: Jauhari Bazaar is a great place to shop around, many many scarf and accessories with comparatively reasonable price! Besides, I thought don't just visit Hawa Mahal during the day time, since those windows will reflect different colors at night.

Nice Hotel, Good Clean Room and Helpful Staff

Clean and Good Size Room, Nice Food
the hotel was nice and clean and the staff helpful. there is only one internet computer which means it difficult to get on but if you do it is free. the breakfast was basic but fine and the food ordered from room service was nice. location to see sights of jaipur are good but will have to walk a distance or take a cab.
