Average hotel with average room.

Convenience of having the tram stop just outside hotel.
6.3
If you are interested in just looking for an average hotel of 3 stars to stay in, then this is it. The room is slightly bigger than some that I have previously stayed in Hong Kong. The room however is clean and so is the toilet. To add value to the hotel, the management should throw in free wifi to all rooms instead of just making it available at the lobby area, which tends to be overcrowded with hotel guests standing or sitting around at the lobby area surfing the net.
Shopping Tip: If you are into dried sea-food products, then the whole street with shops selling it is just further down from the hotel.

the staff are very helpful.

local restaurants withing walking distances,.free shuttle services to ifc, express train to the airport. and mtr station.. easy access to other part of hong kong , busses and tram passes in front of the hotel...
7.7
the room is ok. i was expecting a double bed in a standard room but it was only twin.no microwave in the room. the whole staff are very helpful, and always have a smile with the guest.

Affordable old hotel

Affordable, room size not small
5.7
the hotel is quite old, not near the mtr station, but it has a shuttle bus service to sheung wan mtr and to ifc mall/airport express line. you can also take the tram just in front of the hotel. rooms are not small for hong kong standards, but bed is really for one person. toilet has a small cubicle for shower, not very big.

Value for money 3-star hotel

Located in Hong Kong island, 3-star standard, good restaurant
5.3
In Hong Kong, many hotels are expensive. Ramada is one of the cheapest among the 3-stars hotel in Hong Kong island. However, it is not located in Central district. But the transportation is fairy easy to access. There is a restaurant serving Chinese cuisine in the hotel. The food quality is fine and affordable. If you are tight in budget but still looking for standard hotel, Ramada may be one of the choice.

Good location

Location and low cost
6
Imagine a tourist hotel in London that probably has 99% occupancy and large groups of tourists arriving and departing at all times of the day. This is the Ramada, but the tourists are mainland Chinese, so get ready for rugby trying to get into the lifts and constant noise in the corridors as they shout loudly.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: use the tram that stops outside. its the best deal in hk.

good location

convenient for connection with HK-Macau ferry
7.3
The room is OK, clean. Service is also OK. But they should not charge pin phone call (pre-paid) call since it actually doesn't cost them any. The charge for calling outside, including overseas, is quite high. Anyway, generally staff are Ok.

Nice hotel, but location not ideal

Hotel was clean, cheap, great service
7.7
we enjoyed the hotel. for the price it was great service with good amenities. we forgot our transformer and outlet adapters, but the hotel provided them to us for free. the internet service was fast, but it is not free. room service was limited, but affordable. i enjoyed the layout of the rooms and had a great experience overall. our hotel room had a great view of the harbor. plenty of locals restaurants and food stores. the location is the only issue. it is not located in a bad area, but it is not located in some of the more popular tourist or nightlife areas. that being said....taxi's and trams were easily available and not expensive. for example, to get to lan kwai fong we had to pay about . to get to star ferry pier it was about as well. the location is not an overall deal breaker, but i would have enjoyed being closer to the tourist areas.

Spacious Hotel with friendly staff

Spacious rooms, lounge and corridors
8.3
the staff were friendly and tried to be helpful which is not always the case in other hong kong hotels. the room was bigger than i expected as were the corridors leading to rooms and elevators. however, there is one single disadvantage. the hotel is located in des voeux rd west where transport consists of only trams and buses. taxi drivers did not generally knew the hotel. in my case was very near hong kong university were i was doing some work and i could walk up every day.

Good value

Spacious room at a reasonable rate
7.3
room is spacious, and well appointed. the furniture seems getting old, and the crt tv must be from the 20th century. anyway, it doesn't matter much for a traveller who only sleeps in the room. if you don't mind taking trams, it should be the best value hotel in hk island.
Restaurant Tip: Many noodle bars around the hotel.
