Kind staff
Hotel staff, wifi not bad,
Food is normal, not much choices. Hotel is a bit old..wifi was not too bad..the only thing I feel great which was also to my surprise, was all the hotel employees who have communicated with me especially front desk manager Ms Zhao...I think. All were polite and helpful

Overall the hotel had a somewhat worn appearance and feeling. There was no one to help with luggage at 10 pm. Rooms have not be redone for years, it seems. Everything worked, as it should, but this is not a "fresh" place. Did not try breakfast as the 120 RMB price seemed high for the way the hotel felt---admittedly subjective. Shanghai restaurant in hotel was acceptable, standard, but again, did not give a feeling of "brightness" or success. Very few diners at 8 pm. Soap was about the size and weight of a 1 RMB coin!

Poor Staff Performance
Location and nothing else
First off, the hotel had difficulty finding our reservation. Having read other comments, they seem to have difficulty with Agoda. I've never encountered this problem before. The staff was unhelpful in trying to resolve this matter. They told us to contact Agoda ourselves while they played on their phones. It was difficult for us to contact Agoda because our phones didn't work in Shanghai, and the internet was slow. It was also very late at night, and we were tired. The hotel was very run down, which made it feel dirty. The TV didn't work well. When we looked, realized that the connection was loose and the hotel had used tape to try to hold it down. It definitely is not a 4 star in my book, more like a 3 star.

Location, location, location
Nice view at high floor. Window is operable, so that I can let in some fresh air. Good value for money, but definitely not four stars.
