Hotel Description

A block from Hidalgo metro station, the Ramada Reforma is in a relatively quiet area of the inner city, a few blocks away from the Plaza de la Republica and 10 minutes on foot from the historic buildings of Zocalo. Opened in the 40s, the hotel has been refurbished several times since then, but retains a distinct retro charm in its dark wood-paneled walls and deep red upholstery. A well-kempt and attractive pool area can be found on the seventh floor, and the hotel offers secure parking on-site. Nearby there are various shops, cantinas, taco stands, and of course a Sandborns store.

Unimaginative, but reasonably priced

Helpful staff, great breakfasts, very reasonable price
Unfortunately the location meant my window was close up to the concrete walls of (and occasional loud honking from) a multi-storey car park. Also the corridors and bathroom had an unpleasant smell. The latter may have been due to problems common to some large cities (e.g. sewage systems) rather than the hotel itself, but maybe more could have been done to minimise it. This meant that I couldn't really lounge about in my room!

Convenient location and spaceful rooms

Very convenient location, you can walk to the shopping street and theatre, also close to the metro. Hotel looks new and modern, I think it's a good deal for the price.
Just one thing, when I checked in, the hotel couldn't find my reservation through agoda and it took me an hour to communicate agoda and hotel to find the arrangement. It also took me 40 USD due to the international call. My advice is to call the hotel in advance to make sure they have the reservation in the system. Besides that, I think the place is good.

Good hotel, not so good neighberhood...

High standtards, excellent service, good value for money.
We stayed at the Ramada Reforma Hotel for 1 night. The hotel is very clean and holds high standards of design and comfort, but the location is problematic as the surrounding area is a bit creepy... It's not far from many sightseeing attractions but still not very pleasant, especially if you have family with kids. All in all, the stay was good and the value for money is definitely excellent.

Valuable Hotel in Mexico

Good spot, wonderful price
I went to Mexico city for conference. Jena Hotel provided a nice spot not only to the convention center but also to the central historical area. The hotel is just close to the Metro station and every important sites could be get easily. The security in the daytime is also good. The price is surprising. Highly recommended.
