Beautiful rooms, huge beds. Staff good

Rooms were beautiful. Beds huge, a bit hard but apparently this is pretty standard. Staff friendly & helpful. Located near river, main street & markets.

Nice but quirky!

Location

The hotel is centrally located in the main tourist area and is only a short walk from everything you'd want to see in Luang Prabang. The night market starts at the top of the street, and the mighty Mekong River is at the other end. The room was well appointed but full of little, often annoying quirks: 1. there were two shower heads in the bathroom. The fixed pipe one leaked more water upwards than came out the desired holes below, but the flexible hose one was adequate 2. Only one window has a roller blind. the other window has shutters for which you had to open the window to close them each night. 3. the trapezium shaped wardrobe had odd shaped sloping doors that banged the wall when opened. 4. The safe had no operating instructions Other than that the bed was comfortable and the room was clean and well appointed.
Shopping Tip: The market can get you some bargains, but can also rob you blind. Be prepared to haggle vigourously, and you can get the asking price down by as much as 60%!!!

Nice Little Hotel

Good location
7.7
We were in room A5 which was not noisy at all - unlike other reviews I've read of this hotel. Hotel had some quaint features - look at the door handles! Breakfast could be taken inside or outside with reasonable choice of hot and cold dishes
Restaurant Tip: Try Jomo in the main street for lunch - turn right, then right again after coming out of the hotel. Its just across the big cross roads

Perfectly located hotel with rustic charm

Great location (right next to night and morning markets!), nice garden, rustic charm, waking up to morning chants by monks next door

location was perfect as the hotel was located very close to main tourist street in luang prabang, right next to night and morning markets, temple and museum. felt very safe and great for girlie weekends. breakfast was not great though, food cooked was just enough or a little short, wasn't much left on the buffet if you woke up an hour to closing time. internet was also not working very well. the room was charming though, with nice touches on the laotian style furnishings and a pretty little garden, but old interiors gave off a bit of musty smell (but tolerable). all in all not too bad if you are staying for 1-2 nights.
Restaurant Tip: Coconut garden is a chic little cafe on the main strip with pretty good quality Laotian food. We really enjoyed this and went back almost everyday.

Great location, but hardest beds in Asia

Location, friendly staff, spacious rooms.
7.3
We stayed two nights, the Internet showed a full connection, however we were never able To access the Internet. The beds were the most uncomfortable out of any other hotel during our southeast Asia backpacking adventure, and those of you who have been traveling in this area know that is saying a lot. Overall it is an okay hotel, but for the price you can do Better in luang prabang. We ended up spending an additional 2 nights at the ancient luang prabang (the one near the post office, there are 2), and it was much more to our liking.
Restaurant Tip: The cafe at the ancient luang prabang had amazing food and coffee.

Fabulous Design with Great Location and Service

The design is so unique
9.3
pro - each room is designed uniquely, i traveled with my 2 friends, they room is so nice and my room is fantastic too. - hotel room is spacious, aircon is very cold - very homely environment and great customer service - superb location that is just in the town centre, access to morning market and night market at the door step - a dutch boss makes the difference con - only one - internet speed is not stable
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: The only great and unique place about Luang Prabang is the UNESCO awarded National Museum which was a place, the exhibits are superb. Other than that, you see the temples every where.

Great Location, nice room

great location, tastefully decorated rooms, good service, courteous staff,

The hotel is located at a perfect location. Walking distance to most of the interesting spots e.g. the morning market which is next to it, a popular Buddhist temple, a few mins walk to Luang Prabang National Museum, 5 mins walk to Mekong riverside, evening / nite market is just right at the road junction, another few minutes walk to climb up to the Phousy Temple at the mountain top to see the sunrise or sunset. Perfect. The rooms are beautifully decorated, spacious, clean, comfortable bed, ac in good condition, small safe in the room, fast wifi, well kept garden. The only con i hv with the room is the hot water level was practically none.

Great location, right in the middle of everything.

Flanked by the morning food market on one street, and the bustling night market on another. Right next to the museum and the Phousi mountain. ndly staff.
7.3
Room was spacious and cosy, albeit a bit 'damp'. Beds were a bit hard, but overall, a good, convenient place to stay that is value for money.
Restaurant Tip: The only place so far that serves cold Lao Beer in chilled FROSTED mugs - BIG TREE CAFE facing the Mekong. We came here again and again for the beer and kai pen (toasted river weed). Amazing coffee to be had at Cafe Ban Van Sene. The espresso is totally lovely. For something more upmarket, try Tamarind and Apsara (the fish!!). For something more down to earth but really delicious - Coconut Garden is fantastic. For something more local, View Khem Khong is a nice place by the Mekong. Cheap too. For great streetfood - look for the little alley way next to the Ancient Luang Prabang. Many stalls sell lots of different foodstuff - some look scarier than most, but the freshly grilled fish over charcoal is AMAZING. So fresh. And in the mornings, Aunty Soum's kaosoy (noodle soup with meat ragu) is A MUST.

nice accomodation close to the main attractions

The room was nice, typical laotian style. On Agoda we found very good price. central position of the accomodation.

this is a very nice boutique hotel. we arrived early in the morning and we found our room already prepared. the staff was very kind (like everywhere in laos). the room decoration is very beautiful with typical laotian themes. the hotel is very close to all the main attrctions and at the end of the day you can relax, reading a book, in a pleasant garden. the room wasn't so large, but i can say that was quite good.

Interesting feel

location;
7.3
the hotel was formerly a colonial villa and this attracted me to it. my room was downstairs and due to the construction of the building one could hear movement upstairs. and if you wanted privacy the room is very dark. overall though, reasonable value, good breakfast, close to everything including mekong river and night market. no complaints.
