Excellent location, friendly staff

Thai style decor, comfortable beds, location

Walking distance to lots of restaurants, massage, markets, shopping, night life. Staff were friendly and helpful, rooms were comfortable although poor lighting. Breakfast was good. Hotel was well maintained and room was cleaned each day. Internet access was sometimes hard to connect to although is free.

Great location and superb room

perfect location and great ospitality

very good hotel room big a well decorated, the king size bed was really big. We highly recommended this hotel really good value for money, perfect location close to night bazar and even to start all the adventure on the city of chiang mai. we definitely come back. the staff is really well trained to welcome guests. Really good was the live music on the outdoor restaurant. The swimming pool area not so big, but good enough for us.

Hard to fault this hotel. Great service, location (close to night bazaar and bars), and smiling, helpful staff. Hotel tour guide and price is hard to beat. Highly recommended...

Bang opposite the foot/leg massage

Comfortable in top location

i regularly stay at raming lodge hotel - pricing and location are fine. room was big and the hotel has a medium size pool. only a couple of minutes stroll to the moat with lots of restaurants. across the raod is an open-air leg/foot massage set-up: just perfect after a day of sight-seeing. cheap laundry services nearby, 24 hour service was about 60 bahts a kilo.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: Visit Doi Suthep temple comlex, on a hillside a few km north-west. Hire a taxi or songthaew (pick-up truck with two rows of seats0 to get there and back - much cheaper than organised tour. Remamber to wear 'repectful' clothes.

Great hotel, good services, food and location

Position and facilities

Great location, not a long drive from airport. Has good restaurant, close to many other eateries, street markets etc. overall liked Chiang Mai. Massages were wonderful. Staff at reception not very helpful with general enquiries unless booking one of their services. Night safari at the zoo very disappointing.
Travel tip: Good location for everything and good facilities

Easy to get to from airport, older style hotel. Breakfast is on ground level outside or inside. Rooms clean. Comfy beds. Pool is tiny and down around the back. Only 2 machines in 'gym'. Breakfast is ok.
Shopping Tip: Close to night bazaar, walking.

Very nice hotel with the most helpful and sweet reception girls, its located on a street with a few bars around but i didnt hear any noise and had a good nights sleep, they also have a tour desk but i didnt use it so cant comment, only stayed there for two days but on my next trip im planning to stay longer and will use the hotel again,no problems.

Needs attention, lotsa bugs, cockroachs & noisey

Location

The only thing going for this hotel is the location and price, apart from that, there are better options available! With a little attention this hotel good potentially be great. Beds were hard, found a few cockroachs and many little bugs floating around the room, the bathroom was not very clean and the shower was poor. The live band and traffic from outside would keep you up till the early hours of the morning and then at around 6 or 7am the waterfall in the dinky pool would start making noises. Didnt spend much time in the room, only really to sleep and freshen up, breakfast was poor and was served outdoors, so not very hygenic, food ran out quickly too and did not get replenished. I would not stay here again nor reccomend it to others!!
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: Visit the Temples, especially the one at the top of the mountain, Doi Suthep, if you plan on temple hopping, do this one first, takes around 20mins to get to the bottom of the mountain in a communal van which can be flagged down on the streets, should cost no more than 10bhat per person, then you gotta get into another van which takes you from the bottom of the mountain to the top, 30min drive, 40 to 50bhat each - a must

The Hotel was great! Free wi-fi in the room which made staying in touch with the family easy. I arranged for a complimentary pick-up and drop-off from the airport. The hotel was close enough to the Night Market, and lots of food joints. Only down point was that the beds were quite firm in my room.

Would stay here again

Location, price and service all good.

We stayed for 5 nights in early January 2013 and would recommend the place to other couples. The location is excellent and puts you within walking distance of all the main markets and night life areas. The hotel staff were helpful and polite and the breakfast buffet reasonable to good. A couple of minor negatives were the small size of the pool and the noise from the street at night - the noise of course being the price you must pay for the central location. We would be happy to stay here again.
Restaurant Tip: The small French restaurant opposite and to the right as you exit the hotel has excellent food.
