Best location

Location. Quiet rooms. Value for money
10
Despite being on a busy road, the rooms were very quiet.
Shopping Tip: Walk to every thing from here. Don't miss out on wororot market. Don't be afraid to try lots of street food.

Everything I needed

Position, price, friendly
9.7
Close to everything, clean, good facilities. Good breakfast. Will defiantly stay here again.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: Befriend a Thai local, they are happy to act as tour guides for a little money.

Good location, great rooms

Big room, comfortable beds, nice shower

we had a lovely time at the raming lodge. they have a table set up just for tours, making that process very easy. their prices do not seem to be inflated, for use of their service. not a bad walk to the night bazaar. they have arranged drivers so you won't get harassed by the tuktuk drivers.
Shopping Tip: The Sunday night market was more enjoyable than the night bazaar. Try to get to chiang Mai on the weekend, if you can!

Lovely gem, great service

Location, large room with huge bed, fantastic massages
9.7
The rooms are older but fairly well maintained. Lovely, large towels in the bathroom, with plenty of hot water. Breakfast was OK, with lots of choices. They do refexology massages upstairs for 2hrs, a discount voucher is supplied when you check in. The ladies are lovely and do a fantastic massage. All of the staff were helpful. In the evenings a fantastic singer performs in the restaurant, it's well worth dining there just to listen to him. Feedback forms are given every time you dine. The only gripe was; you had to pay to use the net computers in the lobby, a first, usually they are free to guests. There is a cook school nearby, well worth going to. Laundry can be done across the road, turn left, on the other side a few metres down the road. There is a currency exchange out the front of the hotel and a 711 to the right, a few doors down.
Nightlife Tip: Visit the ladyboy show in the night market, even if you aren't into that sorta thing, it's a fun night out.

Great hotel with local charm and quality service

The hotel is well positioned with easy access to all Chiang Mai has to offer, very good staff and tour facilities
9
The hotel is very well positioned with easy access to bars, restaurants and shopping. The hotel is quite with large comfortable rooms offering old style charm. The included breakfast is of a very high standard and the hotel also provides other discounted services upon check-in. There is also the hotels free airport transfer for deluxe room bookings.
Restaurant Tip: Locate Ping Ping seafood restaurant in the square at the back of the night bazaar for some of the best and freshest food around

Overall happy

Friendly staff, location is very ideal,

overall happy with my stay. we found the location to be ideal as it walking distance from the street markets, some of the temples and spas.
Shopping Tip: If you would like to shop at the street market, check out the Saturday and Sunday markets. This is where the locals shop and the quality of the products are better. Prices can be bargained down at best by 20% sometimes even lower. They say that shopping for handicrafts is better at the factories, which are slightly out of town. We did not try that. If you shop at some exclusive shops (jewellery etc), you can claim VAT refund (about 7%) at the airport. Check this out at the outlet as there are forms to be executed by the outlet.

Great location and friendly service

Great breakfast, good pool, nice clean rooms, great location
9.7
Located within walking distance to night markets and Sunday Walking market. The staff were friendly and the service was good. The pool is located across the lane from the hotel and is well kept and clean. The breakfast is great and has a lot of variety. The rooms don't have windows but we got used to that.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: Go to the Elephant Nature Park, 60kms north of Chiang Mai on a day or overnight tour. Get up close to the elephants by feeding and bathing them and then sit down to an amazing lunch. The ENP office is a 2 minute walk from the hotel.

Friendly, well located, simple hotel

Good value
8.7
We were very impressed with the hotel experience as per other reviews. The hotel is well located, does a decent breakfast, the staff are friendly and the hotel activity centre was well priced and had a good selection. The hotel is very near the big night market which is worth a visit. The only downside was that there are a lot of red light looking bars on the walk into the hotel. However, these can be avoided by walking out another exit.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: We highly recommend the one day jungle trekking which was full Of great activities and only 900 baht. Tiger Kingdom, the cooking school (make sure you specify the nicer farm based school) and the Mae pong river cruise were all excellent.

Spacious rooms, great location.

Great location, staff, rooms and price.
7.3
Big room nicely furnished, big bed, friendly efficient staff, good price. Located near night bazaar and restaurants but just back from the hustle and bustle.
Hotel Feature Tip: Have a head, neck, foot massage at the massage place across the road right before you go to bed - super relaxed!
