Raniban Retreat is a secluded hotel perched on a wooded ridge top, 700m above Fewa Lake, and the city of Pokhara. This is the only hotel in Pokhara that offers luxury en-suite bamboo lodges and deluxe canvas tents, each pitched on a permanent platform with a private bathroom nestling under it's bamboo roof. Access to the gates is via the road to the World Peace Pagoda, or on foot by an hour's trek through Raniban, the Queens Forest. From the gates it is a short, but steep, walk up stone steps to a welcome drink on the panoramic terrace. What really sets Raniban apart is its seclusion and view. From your room terraces and gardens as well as from the restaurant you will have unlimited views across a 200km vista over Lake Fewa, across the Pokhara Valley, beyond the paragliders at Sarangkot to Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, Fishtail and Manaslu.
Raniban delivers a level of service to match the view. The property grows its own herbs and vegetable and serve them in its restaurant. The unlimited hot water in your shower is heated by solar power, and the sun provides over half of hour electricity, which is available 24 hours a day.
