Overall a pleasant and enjoyable stay
The sunset villa room we had is great ans we appreciate the utmost privacy we had. The view from the room is awesome.. The breakfast selection is also fantastic. If there's a bone to pick it would be the rubbish that was washed ashore by the high wave that affected the resort during our stay.

not friendly , not recommend,
we checkin at 4PM after a koh Rok tour, we had waited half an hour at checkin area without welcome drink and welcome towel , which is the only hotel we lived in LANTA not offering welcome drink .while the other Thai guests have welcome drinks , plus ,there are 4 beautiful thai girls at checkin counter , and it was 4pm ,I cant figure out why so slow to get room card . the room is so so so old . the cupboard and desks are like the ones from cheap guesthouses. for the whole time during our stay , no staff say hi and please and welcome goodbye , seems no one wants to work here, however ,the hotel is big and designed like a royal garden , very beautiful, nice and big swimming pool , variety kinds of breakfast choices too .

Ocean view room
The room was inexpensive (read, 80chf) and had a nice view of the ocean. The cleanliness was ok, but the hotel and the rooms need freshening up. I would not go again in high season and pay full price for the room we had. The pool is nice but few lounge chairs. There is no beach right across from the pool (rocks).

Disappointing
My friend and I were here last year and really enjoyed it. This year it was very disappointing! The room was very dirty with bugs and cocoons around the room. I understand it is in a tropical area, but there is no excuse for cocoons all over the wall and in the curtains and roach poop in bathrooms as well as on the vanity. The front desk was not very welcoming until I spoke to someone about it. The people who work there from the Philipines were the best and they were there last year as well, but some of the other staff couldn't care less about anything. I will not recommend this hotel and I will unfortunately not return in the future. I have worked at hotels and for a 4.5 or 5 star hotel this was very disappointing. Also, everything is under construction and the hotel doesn't provide you with vouchers or something to compensate for the fact that all of the areas are "under construction." Very unfortunate for the guests who stay there and there needs to be some major changes because it could be a nice hotel under the right management.

Lovely resort
We stayed 9 nights off season in June 2016 with three children. The resort is in a lovely garden setting and the rooms were very clean and pleasant. The room was a long distance from the main lobby but there were always staff waiting to take you up in a buggy. The staff were friendly and helpful and very caring. Our children found an injured kitten and the staff offered to take it to a vet. When our daughter slipped and hurt her leg the manager called our room and offered medical assistance. The injury was not at all serious but it was nice to know they cared. The beach was not great but that was due to high tides and turbid water from the monsoon. This was to be expected. In high season the beach would be very good. The local people around the resort were very welcoming and we had only good experiences with the tours that were organised through the local businesses. Everything we paid for we got and we were given good discounts due to the low season. We would come back to Rawi Warin again.
