No frills but hassle free
Check in was a breeze. My room's big enough to accomodate 4. Quite old but clean, spacious and complete with the necessary facility. The hotel is near the train and ferry station so famous attractions like the opera house, botanic gardens, harbor bridge are just nearby. Even shopping for souvenir items is just a short walk to george st. Overall, my stay was good.

Rendezvous---Outstanding location but with oppurtunities
Well, the location of the Rendezvous, at the Rocks area, is fantastic. Close to weekend markets (fri, sat, sun), walking distance to the circular quay port, opera house & harbour bridge. Excellent location...overall friendly staff but wifi is only accessible in 3 hour increments and then becomes more challenging to access (asking for a code which the webpage says you must pay for). If you wait, the wifi becomes free again in a 3 hour increment but it's frustrating not to be connected when you want to be. Hotel staff says the front desk is supported 24 hours a day but more than once we entered late at night and couldn't find anyone. On the day of our checkout (at 3am as we had an early flight) no-one was to be found until we heard someone in the breakfast area who I tracked down. Not a great example of proactive service. Breakfast is not included so I paid $24 AU dollars a day for breakfast per person; same selection each day and limited choices. Common in Australia but the TV channel choices were limited. The room itself wasn't bad, the bed moved as if it were on rollers (not so fun), but the room did have a microwave, fridge, and stove. Overall, I would stay here again but to get 5 star ratings the small items I've mentioned need to be improved!

Top location at reasonable price
Situated in a wonderfully historic area in a major arts precinct. Also many restaurants, cafes and bars. Three doors from the famous Rocks markets (weekend). # min to the water and 5 min to Circular Quay -the transport hub for ferries, buses and trains. Third time we have stayed.

Wonderful stay
The thing is the place- it is near the bridge and Opera House, in working distance to everything
We were in March 2016 for 2 days. Room was 2 floor with kitchen. Swimming pool is smal but not overcrowded. Good Wifi. Bad was very comfortable.

Great location
We will definitely stay here again. We were lucky as our room was upgraded to a suite and we had a fabulous view over the harbour. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our only criticism is the bathroom, which wasn't in keeping with the overall presentation of the hotel, and needed an upgrade. And the internet - you only get 3 hours for free!

Excellent Hotel & Location
The best place to stay in Sydney. You just pay for the pleasure. Breakfast was good, staff friendly and very nice rooms. Pool needed to get more sun, but that's a minor issue.
