Old hotel. Small rooms.
Helpful Staff
Location is not that good but the price is reasonable. There were so many homeless people just outside the hotel. They are harmless though, so nothing much to worry about (unless you travel alone). However you can hear people making noise, talking really loud just outside the hotel. Day time is nice. Close to cable car station & shopping stores like Bloomingdales etc.

Fine hotel, but bad surroundings
The rooms are fine, close to metro station
For San Francisco standards, this is a cheap hotel. The rooms are fine, but very basic, and there is no breakfast. The surroundings may be a bit creepy as there are lots of homeless people around and all night I heard shouting and police sirens. If you don't mind that, the place is great. It is very close to a metro station that can take you to all the parts of the city. There are some places to eat nearby, but the one I tried sucked and the others don't look much better, so better to travel a bit further to get a decent breakfast or other meal. I used the hotel just for sleeping, and its good for that. Also, note that internet is not free, but costs $10 per day.

An average but affordable stay
The staff are helpful and the lobby clean and confortable
There are a few warning peope should have if deciding to book here, while the rooms are clean and comfortable the Wifi is not free and extra blankets are not provided in the rooms. The water pressure is not the best and one has to wait for 10-15 minutes with the shower running for the warm water to arrive. parking is only valet and will cost you $28 a day. There area is a little downtrodden with many homeless. There are strip clubs etc surrounding the hotel so it doesnt feel safe to venture out alone.

Great location, feels like haunted mansion
Hepful staffs
I guess this would be my first and last stay in Renoir. The hotel furnishing is kinda old, shower doesn't really work. Room is definitely bigger than those in Market/Powell St. Bugs free, bouncing beds. The staffs are really friendly and helpful.

Reasonable hotel but unpleasant location
The room had everything needed in it and was clean and pleasant. The hotel staff were helpful and kind.
The location was the main problem. Surrounded with homeless people, the hotel is on a main street just next to a porn movie cinema. It was very loud at night. I could hear people yelling, police sirens and other noises all night long. To use the internet I went to a Cafe around the corner. Just crossing the street made me feel uncomfortable. And going out at night alone was just unsafe.

You get what you pay for
Price, proximity to public transport.
our stay here was fine, but renoir is located in one of the worst areas of the inner city for homeless people. on the plus side, it is located very close to a bart subway stop, and the lobby area was quite lovely.

Hotel is old but authentic, bad location
the foyer. authentic
When we checked in it took a while before we get to our room. Room is small and the safe is not working and the safe door was open and posses as a hazard when walking up and down. Even though we were on the highest floor, it is still very noisy from outside noise all nite long.
