Laos is so nice and peaceful this hotel fits right

location, price, room size

These rooms are huge and the location is great. You can walk around the little city from here or along the Mekong. The Mekong is right down the road and at night the river is alive with bars along the bank.

Excellent boutique hotel at the heart of Pakse

Location, decoration, Nice view from top floor

Residence Sisouk is a quality hotel with style, history and good facilities. Rooms are almost falwless. Top floor is a bar with a nice view on both Sedone and Mekong rivers. Satelite channel and good internet. Good location next to Cafe Sinouk for nice cakes, coffee and food.

Humble hotel with rude staffs

actually nothing
2.7
Terrible! I expectated a small ancient boutique hotel but Residence Sisouk was only a small worn hotel with humble furniture and amenities. The room smelled damp and there's neither hair dryer in room(someone who wants has to go to reception) or electric pot. To my surprise, the staffs altogether ate lunch on lobby but they forbade the customer's to eat anything in the room(nothing!!!) according to their own rule. If you want to stay in Residence Sisouk, you have to be well-acquainted with the rule on the dark wall of reception. Residence Sisouk was the first hotel that the staffs were sarcastic to their customer.

Comfortable stay in historic building

original features, friendly staff, location
8.3
The hotel is in an interesting historic building most of whose original features have been retained. There is a top floor restaurant / bar which has good views across the city and a good quality ground floor coffee shop / restaurant. Staff are friendly and speak reasonable English.

Great location!

Big clean room, loads of character, great coffee shop
7.3
Hotel has loads of charm! Centrally located and great sinouk coffee beneath! Rooms were big clean and comfortable. Elevator is old style... And watch your head on stairs if over 5 ft tall. Breakfast was nice and basic... Tea coffee, fabulous croissants, fruit cup and choice of eggs.

Charming heritage hotel in Pakse

Old world charm, Good location, Good price
7.7
I had booked the top grade room which was well worth the extra cost as it was a very large corner room with a wrap-around balcony overlooking the mostly somnolent streets below. The decor was mostly French colonoal in style with a couple of modern touches. The bed was comfortable, the wifi worked well, the shower had sufficient power, and the staff were efficient and friendly. Definitely recommended.

Nice interior and exterior decoration

Interior color decoration, clean, classy

It was a comfortable stay. Tropical fruit served in breakfast was well thought ones. Slow and classic elevator was interesting experience. Only problem was ground floor restaurant which was very good looking as Pakse standard but rice served was too soft as if it is porridge in hospital.

Great French-Laotian hotel in centre of Pakse

Central location, francophone friendly, great hospitality

Colonial style hotel run by a nice Laotian lady that previously lived in Paris. Pros: good restaurant (top floor) for guests only that provide food to order (menu of the day), clean and reasonably priced rooms, friendly staff, located close to temple and Main Street of the city plus near to shopping mall, good air con, tv and wifi. There is also an adjacent coffee shop that do cakes and takeaway sandwiches (good for travelling). Cons: lots of Mosquitos (due to open windows in the hallways) - be careful when opening / closing bedroom door! I would strongly recommend this hotel and would stay here again.

It is a small, comfortable, friendly hotel

Lovely rooms; beautifully furnished; good breakfast.

The only problem that we had actually had nothing to do with the hotel. There was a very loud Disco down the road. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay and would recommend the hotel further. The personal were very friendly and kind. Breakfast is served in a wonderful room at the top of the building with great views.
