Don't believe everything you read
inside the Median, close to the souk, friendly staff
Our first stay was in a small but comfortable room with enough space to spread out. Our next stay was in a very small room with the side of the bed up against a wall. it was well airconditioned though. Most annoying was that the airport transfer was at our expense - once we'd got there on our own and organised the return trip.

Riad Al Jana
In the centre of the Medina, comfortable, air conditioned
The airport transfer didn't happen because we'd only put the flight No (as requested) but not the time. The taxi then couldn't find it so he had to ask a local to carry our bags the remaining 500m in a wheelbarrow and he then demanded to be paid what I'd just paid the taxi driver. The pool is tiny and indoors. There was no outdoor pool despite the description saying there was one. Otherwise the staff were friendly and helpful and it was a good place to stay.

Good hotel but the poor location :'(
Friendly staffs, clean room, and good food
I stayed Riad Al Jana for 3nights, and I could say that everything except location was awesome. Their driver waited me at the airport as I have requested airport-pickup. Its passed midnight when I get to the hotel, but they kindly prepared dinner. I checkedout once to move to another town, and I asked them if they can keep my suitscase. They kindly kept my suitscase safely, which was very helpful and thankful as well. I really liked their Arabic decorations in the hotel, very cute room, kind service and friendly staffs. However, I have to say their weak part, Location. 1) Complicated streets almost impossible to going back to hotel: The hotel is located 10-15min walk to The Funa Square, which is not far at all but streets are too complicated & almost impossible to remember where the hotel is. I was not on 3G & GPS, so I had to call the hotel for guidance how I can get there everytime on the way back to the hotel. 2) At night, atomoaphere turns scary narrow streets with strangers: After the dinner time, the streets on the way back to hotel became too scary to walk back to hotel. Some streets are too quiet, all stores closed, no people walking, but the strangers. I called the hotel staff to come & walk back to hotel with me, but they said they can not because theres only one person takecaring the reception that they can not leave. Due to too narrow roads, my taxi refused to let go, and almost left me in the middle of no where, and I called the hotel to help and the hotel staff convinced taxi driver & finally the taxi drove to the in front of hotel. I was very disappointed when they refused to come to me & walk back, and refused to pickme up at the place where taxi refusrd to let go. Conclusion: I could say that if you are female solo tourist like me, the location is very important. As I said, overall Riad Al Jana was awesome except the location.

Good hotel, but the poor location..
Clean room, friendly staffs, tasty food
I stayed Riad Al Jana for 3nights, and I could say that everything except location was awesome. As a female solo tourist, I felt scared when Im walk from the hotel in the early morning, or when im walk back to hotel in the night. However, I liked their friendly hotel staffs, clean room, and the tasty dinner.
