Beautiful oasis, not far from the old city
Visited with my husband and 7 year old daughter in Feb 2016. Gorgeous grounds with a clean, simple pool and nice lounge chairs. Breakfast was excellent - lovely to sit out under the trees. Room was simple & spacious, with a large bathroom. The staff were so sweet and helpful. They are available to book tours and arrange airport rides (even took us to the airport themselves when our cab didn't show). To get to the main tourist area of Chiang Mai, it's a short walk down a narrow alley (feels a bit adventurous at night when it's dark - watch out for scooters!), down a few blocks and then over the Iron Bridge. Much better to stay here where it's quiet vs near or in the touristy Old City. Would definitely come back!

Nice place, very kind staff members
Very kind staff members, avoid rooms near the swimming pool, there's a lot of noise. Hotel is nearby the Night Bazar and Art Museum. Great place to stay, local market is at 100m.

A quiet hotel with friendly staff
A quiet, homely place; relaxing and peaceful, with friendly staff; the only complaint is the WiFi, which requires constant input of user name and password; overall, a recommended choice

Happy hour for weekends
Quiet and peaceful location. Nice place to relax under green shadow. Staffs are kind and friendly. Night market is within the walking distance just across the bridge. Swimming pool water is not quite clean and have salty taste. Breakfast is reasonable with good quality fruits. Egg dishes need improvement.

room was very small
the room was very small for the money I paid, dinner was very slow and I gave up. The shower was very difficult to get correct temperature for longer then 10 seconds, for the price much nicer places then here, i would not stay here again

Lovely hotel
We loved riding the hotel's bikes all over town, sitting by the lovely pool on comfortable poolside chairs and lounging in our room which was so comfortable and quiet.

Dececnt hotel, but there are better choices in Chiang Mai
We stayed at Rimping on our last night in Chiang Mai. Previously we stayed at Sirpanna, and for some reason, we just felt much more comfortable at Sirpanna. Rimping is absolutely adequate and we can't fault it, it's just after the superb stay we had at Siripanna, Rimping just couldn't match that. The rooms were clean, facilities were clean, everything was to an acceptable standard. Breakfast is average, with just a small selection. The highlight were the staff - excellent command of the english language and very helpful. Just missing that personal touch that Siripanna had! Oh and for some reason, there must've been a party going on nearby, because it was really loud the night we were there!
