Stunning Views and Lovely Staff

Views, Staff and Location

This was the best hotel on our travels of SE Asia. Although the room could do with a little bit of updating and TLC, the rooms were big and spacious. We had a ground floor room which opened up onto the river. When we arrived we were greeted by a lovely member of staff called Anh who gave us some welcome drinks, talked us through a map of the area and gave us general information about the hotel. All of the staff here were very friendly and welcoming throughout our 4 night stay. We were showed to our room and shown how to open and unlock the doors to our patio. The views are absolutely stunning, even photographs do not do it justice. If anyone is thinking of booking this hotel, I would strongly recommended requesting a room with a river view and even better, one on the ground floor where you can walk right up to it. There are also little round sunbeds for you to lie on next to the river and although we had outstanding weather for the whole time we were there, I never saw anyone in the swimming pool which left more room for me! Breakfast was buffet style and plenty of choice. On the day we had to leave, we arranged out taxi through the hotel for 4am and the hotel even made us up some breakfast to take with us FOC without request which I thought was a really nice touch. We also booked out tour to My Son and Marble Mountains through the hotel tour desk (Hoi An Express) and we ended up on the tour on our own so we felt as though we had a presonal service. The girl on the desk also arranged vegetarian meals for us on the tour which was fantastic. All in all, if I do come back to Hoi An, I will definitely be wanting to stay here again.

Did not get what I was promised

Location pool river

I booked my accommodation with the expectation that I would have a room with a water or garden view as described on hotel website. My room was terrible...the bedding was not clean when I checked in and my room / balcony view was of rooftops. I advised hotel staff immediately and was promised another room but this never happened. I am extremely disappointed in agodas representation of this hotel as I did not receive what I thought I would I have traveled to Vietnam on three occasions and the money I paid for this hotel was not reflective of the standard I received Very unhappy

Plesant stay

Rooms do not have curtain in it. The sun light easily shines in very early in the morning. Hotel condition is quite old. Overall is pleasant. The dining tables at the restaurant has plenty of ants whenever you left your food for a long time.

Very attentive staff!

Staff, relaxing location and room cleanliness
9.3
Very enjoyable! It was off season so there were plenty of staff around to help us out because there weren't many customers, relaxing location- only it is a little far out from the town so you have to plan your trips into the old town using the free shuttle, or pay for a taxi. Only issue we had was when a school group stayed for a couple of nights and were very loud- for a relaxing 4 star hotel this wasn't what we were expecting from our stay. Other than that- very enjoyable!

The rooms are old and need to be refurbished. The location is good and the pool is excellent. Staff will bring you lunch in the pool. We enjoyed our stay this hotel but unfortunately the ice gave us a bad tummy. Avoid drinking the ice.

Great pool area, quiet surroundings, nice sized rooms

Our stay at the River Beach Resort was very pleasant. We were picked up in a nice huge van which fit all 4 of us and all our luggage. Checking in was a breeze and the front desk staff were very helpful and explained the privilages we had such as pool access as well as private beach access and breakfast buffet. The rooms were a decent size with a wonderful view from the balcony over looking the pool and river area. Breakfast was good, with enough choices of bread, mains and an egg station. There was a free shuttle into the old town at various times of the day. My only suggestion is that they should perhaps renovate or upgrade their bathrooms as the bath tub was quite old and the flooring slippery. Other than that, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay!
