Unfortunate dates
Had my timing been otherwise such that my fellow guests were well behaved, then I would not be complaining; I would be full of praise. All the staff (management excluded) were helpful and polite. My room was spacious and the setting superb; it overlooked the swimming pool and the river. Unfortunately, the ambiance was shattered for about 3 days which made it impossible to relax or even dine at the hotel! Typically, for my unfortunate period of stay, the hotel had taken bookings in the first instance of bus loads of Vietnamese families. The noise they produced in the hotel lobby, dining areas and around the swimming pool was horrendous. Added to this one had to suffer loud obnoxious drunken behaviour around midnight. I of course complained as did other guests. My main complaint concerned the lack of security personnel in dealing with the drunks. I also suggested the hotel put notices in prominent places regarding loud talking, door slamming and not to disturb other guests. And then, when we thought it was all over, lo and behold, this rowdy mass was replaced by further bus loads of Chinese. Their noise levels when attempting to communicate with one another was even worse!. At one time I sat down for dinner and walked out leaving my meal unfinished because of the grossly uncivilised behaviour. Another time I anticipated dinner wrongly thinking the 'guest disturbers' had gone until a waitress warned me that I (and she) will be plagued with undesirable guests so maybe I should consider dining elsewhere; I took her advice. As eluded to at the beginning, my comments would have conveyed to you that my stay was perfect had the hotel not been invaded with undesirables. I conclude by saying, "Can I take the chance of a future booking?" Regards George Knowles

Old and dirty
Other than having a pool, this is not of resort standard. Having been in Vietnam for a year, this is by far the worst and dirtiest room I have come across. From dirt on the doors and walls, dirty toilet seat and shower to no curtains on the Windows and clumps of hair in the bathroom floor and that was after already changing rooms once. Buffett breakfast was terrible, poor selection and stale pastries. I would never stay here again or recommend it to anyone.

Great place
Location, friendly staff and spacious room
Had an amazing stay river beach resort. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, it was close to the beach and the food was good. We stayed in a room overlooking the river, with large sliding doors that allowed you to walk out on to your own deck. From there you could walk straight down to the river or around the rest of the resort. The room itself was quite large and very clean while the aircon worked really well and was needed as the weather was very hot and humid. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and wished we had of booked for longer.

Stunning Views and Lovely Staff
Views, Staff and Location
This was the best hotel on our travels of SE Asia. Although the room could do with a little bit of updating and TLC, the rooms were big and spacious. We had a ground floor room which opened up onto the river. When we arrived we were greeted by a lovely member of staff called Anh who gave us some welcome drinks, talked us through a map of the area and gave us general information about the hotel. All of the staff here were very friendly and welcoming throughout our 4 night stay. We were showed to our room and shown how to open and unlock the doors to our patio. The views are absolutely stunning, even photographs do not do it justice. If anyone is thinking of booking this hotel, I would strongly recommended requesting a room with a river view and even better, one on the ground floor where you can walk right up to it. There are also little round sunbeds for you to lie on next to the river and although we had outstanding weather for the whole time we were there, I never saw anyone in the swimming pool which left more room for me! Breakfast was buffet style and plenty of choice. On the day we had to leave, we arranged out taxi through the hotel for 4am and the hotel even made us up some breakfast to take with us FOC without request which I thought was a really nice touch. We also booked out tour to My Son and Marble Mountains through the hotel tour desk (Hoi An Express) and we ended up on the tour on our own so we felt as though we had a presonal service. The girl on the desk also arranged vegetarian meals for us on the tour which was fantastic. All in all, if I do come back to Hoi An, I will definitely be wanting to stay here again.
