Decent room for a good price.

Location, price, location.
Just stayed one night, and left before breakfast, so I can't rate the food. The rooms were decent sized, clean, and comfortable. It wasn't fancy, but a good value for the money. Location was excellent: just a short walk to the bridge and market area.

4 day break

Location, staff and peacefulness
Slightly let down by basic things eg poor lighting in room, no safe or sink plug, erratic hot water etc. Breakfast poor.

Very comfortable but a bit out of the way

Very nice rooms, evening restaurant service was good, lovely view from terrace/restaurant
Overall, our stay was very comfortable. But, the doors to the rooms are very tricky to lock and the mosquitoes in one of our (two) rooms were horrific. The hotel is five minutes' walk to the notorious bridge over the river, but Very Far from anyplace else in Kanchanaburi town.

Enjoyable stay at a reasonable price.

On the river front down from the bridge, breakfast and friendly staff.
Very good, no complaints but the swimming pool surround decking needs attention. The room was comfortable but could do with an outside light for the patio.

Hotel with great dining and views

Location on resraurant. Good staff. Near to train station.
Our stay at the hotel was average but the restaurant location overlooking the river was fabulous .

Don't expect 4* more like 2* at a push

Location and that's it
Very average and really tired hotel. Great location but that's about it. Pool area is not maintained and all Wooden boards are loose and dangerous, sun beds broken wooden hard ones, and pool full of leaves. The room was ok but bathroom was terrible, shower head just pointed straight at you making showering difficult as you needed to hold the shower head. The wifi was poor and breakfast although ok was only started at 7:30 and most of the time we had to leave before eating. Staff were friendly.

Great location but annoying bugs

Location, Food price, Pool
We stayed for 2 nights. The hotel surroundings and room were fairly new. Swimming pool was good. Location is the best thing about this hotel. It is within walking distance to the River Kwai Bridge. River view from the restaurant. Food price was ok, not at hotel rate but a normal restaurant. We stayed in a hotel type of room while other family members stayed in a bungalow. They found an alive cockroach under the blanket. The hotel always sprayed insect killer inside the room which caused terrible smells when we checked in. Hotel staffs were like robot. No smile. Just Yes and No. But they were responsive to our requests. We would try another hotel if we ever decide to come back to Kanchanaburi again.

A resort in need of some tlc

location, pool, gardens
Stayed for a couple of nights over Xmas. Niceish rooms in need of a lick of paint, the case everywhere in Thailand. Decent pool but decking and furniture need attention, wood looks nice but doesnt last. Decent breakfast overlooking the river, plenty to choose from. All in all at approx 1000 bht per night inc breakfast it was decent value for money and a place I would mention to others. A little out the way of the "nightlife" but we had a car, otherwise a bike or bicycle is required.

Staff Don't Care

Location, Tv channels, wifi speed
The villa was as expected a little old however clean and reasonably comfortable with good aircon and tv channels. We went for dinner at the resort restaurant by the river. Staff were not busy and showed little enthusiasm to serve. We were handed 1 menu that was falling apart. When I ordered a cocktail we were told they would not make it needless to say we left immediately. Noisey locals drinking until 2am outside our room. I had to call staff to remedy, unsure if they took action. Getting a wifi ticket that works is like playing the lottery. There are better places same location for same money. Bascally the staff let this place down in a big way.

It's ok but ....

Location, big bed
It's quite close to the actual River Kwai but a bit of a walk into town. The pool was shut when we were there which was too bad as it was very hot!
