7/11 and good Thai restaurant across road
They did not mentioned anywhere that the hotel is non smoking and fined us 2000 baht for that. Average breakfast!

Friendly staff, good pool, good service
Stay pleasant enough. Hotel needs a good coat of paint, carpets need replacing and all of hotel needs a good refurbishment. No pool attendant at pool bar. Had to go through hotel restaurant to order food at pool. Other than that for me was value for money I paid at AUD$40 per night.

seen better days.

pool, location, good carparking
The hotel is old and feels very dated. The rooms are spacious and have everything you need. But could do with an upgrade. Good pool. Extensive breakfast selection. Good outside (huge) bar. Also popular night club. But I didn't try it. Very close to war graves, and museum. 2 min cab ride or 20 min walk to river and bridge.

Three nights in River Kwai Hotel

Poolm, Staff, Service
The River Kwai Hotel is a nice hotel for price, no complaints about hotel itself, but would not recommend it or stay again because of the noise until 2pm from the night bar which was loud music and we were a party of eight and none of us got to sleep until after it stopped.

Great breakfast & poll needs fresh en up but good

Staff helpful pool great b'fast excellent needs a make over to be fantastic grey location close to train, can walk to bridge and war cemetary with good food nearby night market close too
The time at RKH was good. Easy access to attractions of Hell Fire Pass and bridge etc. Good train trip from Bangkok and easy return by bus. The hotel is a bit tired and would do well to have a make over.It could be a great small classy hotel if it wanted tyo be but probably the Prices woul go up. Hot Water a bit intermittent .

Pleasantly surprised

The pool was clean and a good size. Room was very large and although next to bar and nightclub , very quiet.
It was very convenient as we had a car to view the local historical sights , lots of bars and restaurants within easy driving distance aswell as facilities on site, enjoyed pool

Pictures shown are too good.

I chose this Hotel based on picture shown. I was really disappointed when I saw the real one. The room was very old. It's look like 30+ years hotel. There are quite big pub and bar within Hotel area, but that's what I want for this trip with my wife.
