Good location but terrible room

location, nice staff
It was easy to get to and from the hotel because of the location, just on the edge of Temple Bar but the hotel itself is not well maintained. The room I stayed in smelled of smoke soaked carpet and walls, the water kettle for making tea still had old dirty water in it when I arrived, the bed was like sleeping directly on the springs, the sink did not drain well, and the bathtub would make amazingly loud water draining noises when there was no water in the tub. This noise happened in the middle of the night and morning and woke me up each time. It was very strange. I did ask if they had another single room when I first arrived because of the smell and the staff was open to me changing rooms, but the room that was offered in exchange was down the hall, through the bar that is connected with the hotel, up three flights of stairs, and very small. So I opted for staying with my original room. There was no wi-fi at the hotel but across the street there is an internet cafe. I would not stay there again. Dublin was an easy city to navigate through, so I don't think the location was enough to warrant the price for the low quality.

Excellent located hotel

Location, friendly staff
The best part of our stay at the riverhouse hotel was that it was the perfect location, right in the heart of temple bar and only a 2 minute walk to trinity college and grafton street. Also the room was very clean and the staff were a great help. The room was a bit small but was very clean and the bed was very comfy.

staff very friendly and helpfull. Room facilities not good, hotel needs total renovation
