Avoid- there are better options in town

Very close to beach
When I arrived I was told by reception that there was no hot water. I was already aware of this and frankly was not too concerned. She then told me that I would have to wait until the owner came back? I waited for about 40 minutes. He turned up, very apologetic, said there was NO water and that they were trying to sort it out, so he would fix me up at another place of his. He drove me out to another set of chalets with a similar name - Riverside- at this point I began to fear the worst- bait and switch? He showed me the chalet there- looked more like a police cell. He said that I could move into the beach chalet as soon as the water was back on or if i preferred I could stay there. There was no way i would have paid the 3rd Point tarrif for the grotty hut he offered. He took my mobile number and said would call me when the beach chalet was ready. After a long wait, I had heard nothing and discovered that the toilet was not plumbed in so would not flush and the door handle had the disadvantage of coming off when I tried to close the door! I went to reception, got them to call the owner and get him up here- he admitted things were still not ready yet and it would be sorted the next day and I could move back down to the beach chalets. I told him that I was not prepared to stay in the alternative chalet- he then escorted me to another chalet- slightly better- it had aircon (which the original beach chalet was promoted as having) and a flushing toilet. I told him that I had to be in the premises which I had paid for by the next morning at the latest. The location of the alternative chalets was near Cherating beach but not the village. The bed linens were not particularly clean. The next morning there was no water for the shower. Another phone call to the owner. I insisted that he collect me at once and take me back to the village. I eventually got to the booked chalet and water was restored that evening, but frankly it was overpriced for what turned out to be anyway!
