Not clean. Overrated.

Insist not to stay at any room on the 1st floor as you are constantly disturbed by people opening/closing the main door leading to the floor. And room is only separated with another room by only a door. You can hear everything in the other room and their light under the door too. And sure you won't be able to sleep when people talk on the other room late at night. And the staff refused to change room saying they they are fully booked but room are still available on Agoda. In short very disappointed. Will not stay at this hotel again even at a lower rate.

Nice and clean but needs updating

Location, location, location
We only stayed one night as our other hotel was full. It is well located however it is a bit tired now and needs updating to really deserve the 4 stars it claims. The rooms are clean and a good size and breakfast was good.

3 Nights stay

Free upgrade room upon check in because the room type we booked are not available. Housekeeping is fast in delivering the requested item. Allowed late check out at 1pm.
Room is not sound proof. Can hear people talking on the corridor and when talking in the room can also hear from corridor. 3 bottles of water is not enough for family with young kids.

Great Location, nice manager, but the rest are bad

location, price..
Let me begin with praising the Front Office Manager being a friendly and responsive personnel in the hotel. Other than that, i am disappointed in my 1 night stay. Upon check-in, the counter staff apparently prefers to talk among themselves rather than carry-on with the roles. It took 15mins to check-in which is unacceptable. Given my room access card, but it didn't work and i have to get back to the hotel lobby and reactivated the card. About 8.30pm, was at the Hotel Cafe. The wine is okay, no complaints. The food is really lousy, which is something i cannot believe a 4-star hotel is serving. The 2 male waiter were very courteous, friendly and helpful. However, towards the end, there is a cashier (quite a plump size guy with a tag stating "Cashier") seems to be rushing off duty. Asked for the bill, and it came out to approximately VND 840,000. Gave him VND1M, and he put the money into his own wallet (i am quite surprised he did that) and he seems to have difficulties getting my change. No big deal, and I just told him the keep the change and give me back VND100k is fine. Ok, that's fine. We move on. Next morning, while trying to checkout. there is 4 staffs at the counter, and only 2 guests. Apparently i am standing right in front, and they don't seems to bother. After a good couple of minutes, you told them about my presence, then they apparently started to work again. The counter lady told me they will need some time to check my room prior to my checkout and suggested i take a seat at the sofa. Fine. I then rested and kept looking into the direction of your counter. No responses then. You came forward and ask me to write some comments but my initial response was not too harsh. But the final straw came, when i approach your staff after 10-15mins whether i can move off. Her reply was she can't find me. This is terrible service. Really bad!

Good location

Good location and staff
The room given was dark. There were two windows but one was sealed and the other was opened to the interior of the hotel. There was no light coming in. Other than that, I have no complaints. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is a beautiful old building but very well maintained. Located close to touristy sights.
