Every time an Agoda customer checks out of a hotel we send them an email asking them to write a review of their stay. This is the only way reviews can be submitted. First time staying here and great experience!

Location, value for money, service
I'm glad that I chose this hotel! Firstly there is a free shuttle bus from the ferry terminal to the hotel (also to and fro the airport). From the ferry terminal, you have to use the underpass to get to the other side. Once you are on the other side, you can see the signs for many hotels like City of Dreams, Venetian, MGM on one end, and less signs on the other end. The shuttle bus for this hotel does not have a sign of its own and is on the end with less signs. Just walk right to the end and wait there. The shuttle bus is a small brown one. There is also a shuttle bus from the hotel to Macau Tower etc. You can check the hotel official website for the schedules of all their free shuttle services. Basically I made full use of the shuttle services throughout my trip, other than walking, and did not use any of their public transport. If you feel like visiting Venetian etc, you just need to take the shuttle to the ferry terminal and then catch the other hotel shuttles to the other hotels. It's very convenient and free. The location of this hotel is great. Guia Lighthouse, a public park and a cable car service are just around the back (5 minutes' walk). You can also easily walk to Senado Square, Ruins of St. Paul and Macau Museum (10 minutes). Just ask the hotel staff for directions and they will be happy to help. There is a 7-11 store and a local restaurant selling local fare like roast duck rice beside the hotel. If you walk along the streets, you can find more food options and there is also shopping to do. Service at the hotel is good. Checking in and out was fast and smooth, and they are always ready to help. As I was a solo traveler but only managed to book a twin room via Agoda, I put in a special request for a double bed if possible and I got a free upgrade to a Premier Room! That was a genuinely pleasant surprise. Overall my stay in the hotel was marvelous. I will definitely recommend this hotel to others who do not want to stay in a hotel with casinos.

not a good one

i got nothing to comment
disappointed, booked 4 night, day 1 - toilet drainage not that good, small flood occured and got room changed day 2 - aircon not working day 3 - no wifi day 3 ..... then realised all toilet will encounter same small flooding problems, you will have to request for more floor mat to wipe it dry if u don't wish to have a great fall in the toilet during midnight... hahahah please take note that do not waste money on booking better rooms as all sizes are the same! is just that the difference is with dvd player and with just body shampoo & hair shampoo ( addtional of better brand of body/hair shampoo, with body lotion & hair conditioner......) my entire stay was to keep changing room, and going up and down for my hotel room to lobby to activate my key as i was being locked out everytime i come back...... till 5th i was a bit unpleased with them, then they told us to avoid placing room key card near electronics item.... location wise abit not convinient, unless u love to walk alot, walking distance to nearest casino is grand lisboa, about 15 to 20 mins, when coming back by walking abit tiring, about minimum of 200 meters up slope to walk. please take note there will be no where near for you to eat midnight, only 7-11 beside. shuttle bus stated every 30mins but timming not so accurate. last but not least please take note: theres a shuttle bus service to airport but a charging of hkg dollors 20 per pax. have to book beforehand... but,,,,,,,,, was being cancelled late night (with a letter slipped under my room door, before my departure day) ,i realised only in the morning and was so shocked. we were so rushed but hotel managed to get us a cab in time... very bad experience will not go back again to this hotel.

Friendly staff and comfortable room

Bed is comfortable and furniture are decent. My spouse liked the indoor swimming pool.
Located in town centre and easy access to most of the tourist spots either by walking or public transportation. Hotel offers shuttle bus as well but if the frequency can increase then it is even better.

Good choice in Macau

Room, In House Casino, staff
I had a good stay at the Royal hotel in August of 2013. The hotel is comfortable, well appointed with an attentive staff and a very comfortable room. I would book this to see more of the historical side of Macau as it is more in walking distance. You need a cab to go to the bigger resorts like the Venetian.

Nice service, Good deal

Reasonalbe price, nice service, decent room
Rooms are clean and tidy, yet a bit small. Location is a bit far away from tourist spots. Design of the swimming pool is quite good. Staff are sincere and always willing to help. Traffic is inconvenient compare to other hotel in Macau. Shuttle bus is small and always full. Yet, the environment is silent which makes this hotel a good place to stay.
