Decent hotel but strong perfume smell

Away from commercial area.
this hotel is close to where its local residents would go on a daily basis. unlike the cluster of hotels located on the south part where all the new casinos are, this hotel offer a different choice which, when you do not want to gamble at the casino, can be more convenient for you to go sight-seeing and live and feel more like local resident. i would not go back to this hotel though, because of the very strong perfume smell at it's lobby. this hotel does not offer wi-fi in its hotel rooms, so if you want to use wi-fi then you have to stay at the lobby because that's the only place you can access free wi-fi. so basically you will have to suffer the very strong perfume smell.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: Ask hotel representatives how to best utilize hotel shuttles to go around and how to get back. It is also strongly recommended to know how to take bus 22, 25, and 25X to get to places and to get back to hotel. If you somehow have to take taxi, it should not cost more than $60 macao dollar to get back to Royal Hotel from Venetian.

Nice and Clean hotel

Clean, local location, good service
The hotel is fairly near the macao ferry terminal. It is in the midst of residential and light commercial surrounding with quick access to local restaurants. The service there is pretty good and staffs were quite efficient. They have a casino at the hotel but it is all electronic screen casino so I did not bother. The hotel does some really cheap prices sometimes so look for the discount.

Affordable & somewhat Convenient

Clean and Convenient Location (if u enjoy to walk)
Very walkable to Grand Lisboa and sightseeing sights such as the Ruins. There is a shuttle bus available but you can walk to mentioned locations easily.

Hotel with good services at a strategic location

central location, clean and tidy
I was very impressed by the Royal Hotel, for its good services and clean rooms. The hotel is at a strategic location. Most attractions, such as the Senato Lago, are within 10-15 mins walks. There are quite a number of dining options nearby. However, I have to pick on the shuttle bus service. Although the hotel says shuttle service from Ferry Pier to hotel is available, there is no bus stop at the ferry pier. I also had no idea when the next shuttle bus will arrive.
