Every time an Agoda customer checks out of a hotel we send them an email asking them to write a review of their stay. This is the only way reviews can be submitted. Every review must then be approved by our content team before being posted on the Agoda website. Therefore, unlike many other travel sites, ALL Agoda reviews are certified and genuine.

Within walking distance to Macau's attractions

Near 711! and spacious rooms!
7.3
the lobby is too small for a royal hotel. lobby couches can accommodate at the most a party of 6-8. if you were a big group, you'd be forced to sit by the lounge and purchase a drink since it is for paying customers. the rooms are spacious and worth the price.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: Always know the schedule of the bus trips from Royal to the different Hotels so you dont spend a lot on transportation.

decent hotel but bad location

good price with decent rooms
5.3
stay was relatively ok considering the good price we got for the hotel with decent sized rooms that is clean and comfortable. however, location is not good at all and makes travelling around difficult. shuttle bus service doesn't seem to be consistent either.

Good hotel

Reasonably big room

view from most rooms is quite good over a park in the middle of the city. this time had to psy more for the room and got a room with no view. so no tax good value for money as previous stays.

Decent hotel but strong perfume smell

Away from commercial area.
8.3
this hotel is close to where its local residents would go on a daily basis. unlike the cluster of hotels located on the south part where all the new casinos are, this hotel offer a different choice which, when you do not want to gamble at the casino, can be more convenient for you to go sight-seeing and live and feel more like local resident. i would not go back to this hotel though, because of the very strong perfume smell at it's lobby. this hotel does not offer wi-fi in its hotel rooms, so if you want to use wi-fi then you have to stay at the lobby because that's the only place you can access free wi-fi. so basically you will have to suffer the very strong perfume smell.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: Ask hotel representatives how to best utilize hotel shuttles to go around and how to get back. It is also strongly recommended to know how to take bus 22, 25, and 25X to get to places and to get back to hotel. If you somehow have to take taxi, it should not cost more than $60 macao dollar to get back to Royal Hotel from Venetian.
