Every time an Agoda customer checks out of a hotel we send them an email asking them to write a review of their stay. This is the only way reviews can be submitted. Every review must then be approved by our content team before being posted on the Agoda website. Therefore, unlike many other travel sites, ALL Agoda reviews are certified and genuine.

Certainly not a 5 stars

Clean, quiet
Not bad, but certainly not 5 stars. Rooms and facilities are average, taxis rarely come close to the hotel, and chef refuse to serve breakfist menu at noon (eggs and bacon). Half of the city live the night and sleep the day. You would expect the hotel would adapt to the needs of the tourist that come to play casino.

Value for money

clean, newly renovated, good service
The hotel looks newly renovated. Staff is friendly. Macau hotel is expensive but this hotel is still value for money. Will stay again

Enjoyable stay

Excellent staff, clean and comfy bed
If you are looking for a hotel away from the casinos and want to enjoy the older Macau, this is a good hotel to consider. The outer appearance looks old and worn out but was surprised by the interior deco and set up. Excellent staff. Nice bathroom amenities (Aigner). Didn't mind the walking to the old Macau. Accessible by its own bus services to Cotai and the newer casinos. Overall, a pleasant stay but not quite up there as other 5 star hotels.

Reasonably value for Macau, good location

Good location, good service
The staff are great when you can find them. The pool is good, but one evening it was unattended, so I couldn't get a locker without having to search or call for staff. The pool and gym also shut at 9, which is too early for a hotel that considers itself five star. The breakfast is okay, but not five start standard. The silk curtains in my room were tatty and there was a little mould on the shower curtain. Room size and bed were good though. The location is convenient. Hotels are fairly pricey, but this one is good value if you don't get breakfast included. The breakfast is overpriced.

extremely convenient location

good value for money, convenient location and friendly staff
It was an overall good experience. However, it will be even better with the towels and bathrobes were newer and whiter and the cleaning staff had done a better job, especially with the bath tub.

Nice hotel

Good service, good food and clean room
I enjoyed my stay at the Royal Hotel. There is a hotel shuttle that provides transportation to Macau ferry station. There is also a 7-eleven store located near the hotel. The staff is friendly, the room is clean, the food service is good. The hotel is not near to the attractions in Macau. However, it is easy to walk to the attraction places.
