The place you don' t want to leave

Clean spacious rooms, balcony upstairs, friendly manager
7.3
My husband and I were planning on staying one night but ended up staying six nights. Wonderful place to forget time and just hang out on the balcony- that's when you stay upstairs in one of the spacious suites. Room was very clean, bathroom too. Short walk to the old historic part Fountainhas with good restaurants and stores to buy what you need. Vishwanath, the manager, is very friendly and helpful. It was difficult to leave, and we will be back at this place. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

I'll never stayagain. Cannot be graded as lodge

Nightmare. There's no room service, no room boy.. Only one employee who works as receptionist. Tea and coffee cannot be expected even by 8-30AM. No restaurant nearby. By no stretch of imagination it could be graded as a lodge.

Not a good option

Manager, historic building, furniture

Very old and worn out hotel. Very simple breakfast. Wifi is charged 100 INR per day. Downstairs rooms are very unsatisfactory and smell of mould.

Arriving at the bus station no cab driver appeared to know where the hotel was., eventually we found someone to take us. Initial impressions weren't great as the neighbour had music blasting out but he eventually turned it off. The manager was very friendly and attentive. Breakfast was included though it consisted of bread and jam. Eggs were extra but not overpriced. Room was lovely.

Nice Hotel in old building, clean, very friendly

very helpful reception, nice big room with charme
8.3
The hotel is totally worth the money (look out for offers). It has big rooms with high ceiling. the shower and the bathroom were clean and worked fine. The best about the hotel was the service of the nice guy from the reception. He is very friendly and makes you a warm welcome (we didn´t find this anywhere else in India). Follow his recommendations, especially about restaurants. Try Avanti, looks not very nice from outside but has great food and service.

Spacious room with helpful, friendly manager.

Huge suite room with heritage character. Extremely helpful manager. Close to good restraunts.

We booked a standard room at a sale price on Agoda and on arrival were upgraded to a suite which made this exeellent value for the price paid. The room was huge and the bed very comfortable but furnishings and decore were very basic. The manager, Vishwanarath, was pleasant and friendly. He was extremely helpful in booking an onward flight and did not charge a commission. The Phoenix Inn is within easy walking distance to all of Panjim's attractions and to some very good restraunts.

nice and relaxing

quiet and relaxed location, rustic feel, comfortable

This is an 80 year old Portuguese building converted into a lodge. It is not much of a hotel as such, there is no restaurant or kitchen. Its rather like a relaxing holiday home in an old setting. So its not for people who are looking for a vibrant hotel and probably not for people with children also. But if you want a laid back place with an antique feel, go for it. Very suited for 'suszegato' :-)

Pleasant

location, size, value for money

It was a comforting stay. this hotel is housed in an old portuguese house, hence one may not find the luxuries of a hotel in it to the fullest extent.
