Good location, simple hotel

Location, air-con, restaurants nearby
The stay was fine, nothing special. But shower conditions are bad, no toilet paper provided, and the complimentary breakfast includes only toast and powdered coffee. The water in the pools is also not clear, so wasn't sure whether to take a swim there. But the location is pretty good, and the restaurants nearby are very nice.

good location

location, comfortable beds, access to pool
Excellent location in main street yet minutes from the beach. I had booked a twin room on first floor but i didn't know until arrival there are no twins availble except on the ground level, these ground floor rooms at pool level are not as nice as the other block set behind them. They need a refurb, the toilet seat was broken, and it was very dirty behind the fridge which had seen better days as it was all rusty. Our friends first floor rooms were much nicer with better bathrooms and furniture and the same price. I would recommend staying here but ask for a first floor room. The staff are very helpful especially the security man at the front gates. Don't bother with the free breakfast as its just toast and a gel like jam but buy your breakfast at the restaurant at the front of the hotel as that is more substantial and very cheap. R300 for full english for example, they do a lovely masala tea too.

Pleasent stay, value for money.

Location, helpful staff, value for money rooms and food prices
As it was off season, there wasn't a lot going on and the power, tv signal and internet didn't work all the time. The wifi was only really available in the bar area and some of the hotel was under renovation. The room was very basic but generally clean. Disappointed that it didn't have a kettle to make tea but overall it was what I needed for the time I was there. As it was raining a lot the foot paths got flooded quite a bit but they did their best to clear away the water. I wasn't able to use the pool and thankfully the rain stayed away long enough one day for me to walk to the beach which is about a 5-10mins walk away. The hotel did a good job helping me with a taxi to the airport so overall it was ok.

Nice as a small family hotel

Centrally located, close to the beach, Restauarant and Bar
We know we would have really loved staying here as the hotel is very well kept. Unfortunately instead of closing down for a week or so whilst they dug out the septic water tank, next to the swimming pool, they remained open. What more can we say? However we can't fault the staff or the rooms, luckily we are on an extended stay in India and thank our stars that it wasn't our main holiday of the year.
