Standard good service.

Location, higiene, service
The only good option to flying out from Darwin. With no public transport from city to airport this is the only way to be on time at departure.

location to airport, Chinese restaurant, free airport transfer
Always stay here when flying back to Sydney from Darwin, as can't get direct daytime flights. Easy for us. Good breakfast and great Chinese food for dinner and standard accommodation but clean and tidy and presentable.

A short walk to the airport

Location, location & location
Overall the stay was good. However, when we asked how do we gets to the airport in the next morning at 4am, we were told by a lady at the checkin that we can walk as it is only a short walk to the terminal. We actually believed her. We tried to walk in the afternoon after we hv checked in and we were shocked that there is actually no walk way. Part of the walk we will hv to drag our baggage on the road. When we checked out the next morning we asked for the shuttle bus and the check-out guy graciously arranged for us on th spot. He agreed that it is too early, too dark & too quiet to walk and it cud be dangerous. Bless his soul. Boo to that lady who told us we could walk there in the early morning at 4am. HOTEL MGMT TAKE NOTE : employ caring statf & train them well. If not for that kind check-out staff .. We would never consider this hotel again.

Powell Family Review

The proximity to the airport. Spacious rooms. Having a kitchen.
There was a mix up with our booking and we were sent to a smaller room. It took a long time for the staff to find us the room that we had booked months previously. The hotel is clean and very comfortable. The staff, however are not overly friendly. There is no greeting as you come and go. We had been at the hotel a week when I went to make an enquiry. The girl at the desk asked "Are you checking in?" It's also disappointing that wifi is so expensive. Surely at the prices charged, it should be completely free.

Escape from the big freeze

Location, comfort, friendly
We both enjoyed our stay. The warmth off Darwin was matched by The warmth of staff.

Rydges Darwin Airport - Superior Queen

Check-In Service, Convenient Location, Parking
A short 16hr stay in order to catch early morning flights. Excellent check-in service. Read some pretty negative reviews but was pleasantly suprised. Room was clean, no bad smells, quiet air-con and just all round suitable. No complaints except that it's more like a 3.5 star. Still, happy customer.

Perfect airport hotel

location, ease and friendliness of check-in, room comfort
We needed an airport hotel because of an incredibly early flight. It's no secret that hotels in Australia are expensive. This one was no exception. But a better location just isn't possible: it's a 5 to 7-minute walk along a well-lit and pretty(ish) path to the terminal, and there are trolleys right outside the front door. The room was an excellent size and had several welcome features: an easy chair, desk, and side table, as well as a mini-fridge. Reception staff was welcoming and efficient. However, aside from on-site restaurants - which we didn't eat at - there are NO nearby eateries or grocery stores. Travelers would either need a car to access those - there's a "restaurant" about a 4 or 5-minute drive away and two large grocery stores (Coles & Woolworths) within about a 10-minute drive - or would be forced to eat either at the 2 hotels or at the terminal (very few choices there). While we did very much like the hotel, we probably would choose to stay in Darwin proper (about a 20-minute drive) because it is such a short drive and there are so many more eating and entertainment options there.

We booked this hotel because we had an early flight to Singapore the next day. Good choice! opposite the hotel, we found the Rydges resort: swimming pool, restaurant, bar... Excellent!
