Aged and Average
The apartment looks aged and old. Badly in need of a renovation or modern fresh look. The eftpos would not accept my australian bankwest mastercard bank card for a deposit even though it was in date, had valid funds and I utilised it to pay for the room online. (As well as utilised this card throughout Europe and the U.K. for 3 months without event). The restaurant and bar had 2 functions booked so the facilities were unwelcoming to extra guests who were actually staying in the hotel. Will not be back. $160 a night was an average cost for an average stay.

Great location
The hotel is near the place where we would take the ferry to great barrier reef, it is also near the shops and eating places
We are happy with the choice of the hotel. It is professionally run with clean rooms, bedsheets and towels. It is a comfortable distance to the food and shopping outlets by the sea.

Overpriced and poorly maintained
Location, lilo bar and espresso martinis
Staff were reasonably polite although a little slow. Location was good, not on the esplanade but near town centre. Pool bar and Lilo bar were nice. The room though..... I have stayed in nicer rooms in Eastern Europe and the back alleys of Thailand!! Paint peeling off the roof, stains on the walls, bathroom mouldy, ironing board stained, the list goes on... Not impressed at all....

Clean and tidy shame about the musty smell
Customer service, cleanliness of room, close to business centre
The hotel condition is average for 4 star, the service is great only the bed was a bit hard. Interesting that this chain does not supply toiletries such as shower cap (for a woman travelling that is a pain!). The mustiness smell was a bit off putting. The aircon fan rattled loudly if you changed the setting above low. The hotel location was great for business. Being on the 9th floor meant it was quiet. Having free wifi was a plus.
