Perfect Location!

Comfort, Staff, Food
I have stayed at the Rydges Sydney Central Hotel several times and will go back whenever I visit Sydney. The staff are very friendly and I enjoy the comfort and quiet. Except for room 435 which tends to creak at night. The room service is a little pricey, however is very tasty.

My stay was OK. The hotel was reasonably clean although needs attention on some area. I enjoyed the gym, although one of the equipment (rower) ran out of battery. When I checked out, one of the staff was not very friendly when we asked their help to keep our luggage after checking out. Overall I was happy with my stay. I may come back just be cause it was a convenient location. Luckily we booked on a special rate, so it was decent for the price.

Nothing to fault this hotel for sure!

Great location, very friendly and helpful staff and clean rooms
It was a quick check in and out to start with. The hotel was in centrally location with plenty of restaurants around, the staffs were friendly and helpful whilst the rooms are clean and comfortable. We could not get the later check out but got a free drink voucher each which is great! thank you it was a pleasant stay.

Very friendly, efficient and helpful staff. Hotel room was very clean and spacious. Pleased to have free WiFi
We stayed one night but it was very clean easy to get to from train station. I would recommend staying there.

Convenient location

Good location, rooms clean and tidy. Car park spaces quite small but plenty available. Gym room had enough equipment to do a workout, I was surprised to see a good range of Dumbbells.

Not again

Location, location, location
We have stayed at this hotel several times under both the currentr ownership and the fdormer (Sebel). In our view it has gone downhill and seems to have a overly focus on cost cutting (not even a biscuit in the room although a good variety from the mini bar). Room service was prompt but the tray remained outside our room with leftovers on it for over 24 hours. Evening snack was just OK; breakfast of bircher muesli and yoghurt was more than ample, both being far more than we could consume. Reception service was polite but somewhat understated. We were not asked 'how was your stay' and once payment was made there was no 'thank you for your stay' or 'hope to see you again'. Consequently the opportunity to hear we would not return again - and why - was missed. As stated above, our view is that the hotel and service has gone downhill since Rydges took over particulry in terms of the friendliness of staff and the amenity of the hotel.
