Great location but over priced

Location, kind and helpful staff,
6.7
Initially I booked a room for my daughter and myself. Then at the last minute my mum decided to join us in our Japan trip. All the other hotels we stayed were very understanding and charged modest extra for my mum since she stayed in the same room with us. But in Romania ASAKUSA Milkawaya Hunter, I had to pay extra US$200 for two nights for her even though there was no extra bed for her. It was definitely over priced at that rate. The room was very clean with a good size bathroom. The bathroom although very clean, had a foul smell. The staff and owner were always helpful and friendly. The location was great. Overall I think the ryokan would be good value for single travellers. But if you have two or more in your party then you should look around for better deals.

Good traditional experience in Tokyo

Location, customer service, traditiooal ryokan beds

The location of this hotel is excellent and the experience of a traditinal ryokan not to be underestimated for the tourist traveller. However heating is quite poor which has a negative impact in winter (the room was quite cold and draughty) and the room was not spotless.

superb location

location is superb, staff is very polite, room is very clean.

Very happy to have chosen this hotel. Just at the gate to the most famous Sensoji temple. We have a good experience to see the vast difference of life along the Nakamise street and Sensoji temple at daytime and nighttime, particularly after all the shops have closed. Many 24 hours eating places nearby. Best of all, the asakuasa line just nearby, it is the first and last stop for that line. It goes straight to the airport. It is so convenient for us who travel with many luagages. We got into the train when it is empty and got out of the train after most of the passengers have left the train. It is superb in position for traveller. I recommend this hotel to everyone.

Good location

The owner was accommodating. Great place. Easy access.

The place is good and its location is near the Asakusa line. I booked only 1 bed but when I told the owner that my wife and i can stay in the same bed, the owner says that we need to pay another bed. this is creepy because why should i pay another bed when we can be together...hahaha..silly! This is one of the negative part of the stay.

good stay, great location , near by to Metro, but japanese rooms may not be every one cup of tea. Small rooms, so two is a tight squeeze with luggages.
