Great location, comfortable stay

Location, cleanliness, nice staff
The location was great. It was close to the metro stations. It was right next to the Nakamise Dori. There were a lot of restaurants nearby. The Shrine in Asakusa is nice to visit at night when all the crowds are gone. The room was clean, futon was comfy. The heater in the room worked well. The staff were friendly and helpful.

First ryokan experience and I liked it

Very cute, in the heart of Asakusa, friendly front desk lady
The room was quite spacious and very clean. The side street traffic was a bit noisey in the morning but that just added to the experience. Would definitely stay here again. In fact I wish I was there now.

I dont mind the location, it is great but when i first come to the hotel and have system error, they seems to use it as an excuse to take more from us which i have to paid more than double than the amount that i have paid. It is quite unpleasant for us, so we decided to check out eventhough we paid for 6 days in advance and move to another hotel at the next day cuz it is unbelievably ridiculous. I am not really sure whose to blame for the situation, but getting that kind of treatment is totaly unacceptable.

Perfect location ryokan

Location, clean and comfort room
It was a fantastic ryokan for me, the room was very clean and comfortable for sleep. This hotel nears Sensoji temple and plenty of traditional japanese restuarants.

Great location but over priced

Location, kind and helpful staff,
Initially I booked a room for my daughter and myself. Then at the last minute my mum decided to join us in our Japan trip. All the other hotels we stayed were very understanding and charged modest extra for my mum since she stayed in the same room with us. But in Romania ASAKUSA Milkawaya Hunter, I had to pay extra US$200 for two nights for her even though there was no extra bed for her. It was definitely over priced at that rate. The room was very clean with a good size bathroom. The bathroom although very clean, had a foul smell. The staff and owner were always helpful and friendly. The location was great. Overall I think the ryokan would be good value for single travellers. But if you have two or more in your party then you should look around for better deals.

Good traditional experience in Tokyo

Location, customer service, traditiooal ryokan beds
The location of this hotel is excellent and the experience of a traditinal ryokan not to be underestimated for the tourist traveller. However heating is quite poor which has a negative impact in winter (the room was quite cold and draughty) and the room was not spotless.
