No good for more than one night

It wasn't very pleasant. I found a cockroach in my bathroom two days in a row. The staff at reception were not helpful when I had specified a late checkout. They expected me to vacate the hotel at 2pm. Their English isn't good either and when I received international calls, they hung up on the person calling. The noise from the street travels up to the rooms very easily however it is in a good location.

Deluxe Double room is not 20 square meters, not 30

ok location, large room, revolving restaurant on roof
The location is decent, a few minutes walk to starbucks. I booked the Deluxe Double Room which is supposed to be 30 square meters, but they gave me a room that was only 20 square meters. I went back downstairs to question if he gave me the right room. The reception said it was the correct room, but I pointed out that the booking says 30 square meters, but the room is only 20. Then he upgraded me to the executive suite in 801, which was a nice gesture. The suite was about 33 square meters, so it was large enough to my liking with large windows to view the street below. The 8th floor does not have its own wifi router so the wifi is spotty. The closest wifi router is on the 7th floor. The bedding is not up to par though because they don't use real duvets or comforters. They instead have a quilt sandwiched between two sheets. If you move around during sleep, the sheets become unraveled and your skin would be exposed to the rough inner quilt. There's revolving restaurant on the top floor, but I didn't get a chance to check it out.

Good people, but room issues.

elevator, air con, tv
Good room if you are dude and don't care about a few inconveniences like safety. The 4th story patio door and windows didn't lock and the safe didn't work (even after asking them to fix them, 7 days later and no action), the toilet handle must be held down to flush, no power outlets at desk for charging (so I needed to move furniture to unplug 1 of 3 things: desk lamp, TV or frig), no power at bedside either, and did I mention something in the bathroom ceiling causing debris from ceiling panels to falll into tub (no feces).

I hated it, and my wife lost her necklace when we left the room so that they could clean the room. You guys should be careful where you put your stuff in this hotel

Bates Motel

The ANZ ATM outside in an air conditioned booth
The plumbing kept waking me up all night with noises of backing up. Staff were rude when we checked in. Hotel was filthy and run down and so was the room. At least the air conditioning worked, which was a necessity for a room with no windows.

Cannot think of three things. Conditions and position very basic but reasonable value for money.
Adequate. However, the WiFi was only accessible in the reception area with almost no signal for 40% of the time and non existent for 60% of the time. The restaurant was adequate in the evening and the Breakfast staff were very pleasant and efficient. Reception staff in the daytime were very helpful when arranging my Visa for Cambodia and also booking the coach for the journey.
