Great Location!

This Hostel was in a great location! So many metro/subway line at your fingertips. Cheap eats where everywhere and the wif-fi was fast and always available. With a family with small children, access and walking distance to public transpertation and having many food choices including grocery stores is a must. This place had it all. I was a little worried about paying so much for a hostel, but Tokyo is not cheap and locatio, friendly, helpful staff is worth all the money in the world. We were able to cook breakfast and toast was available/included in our Agoda reservation. It was the last affordable option in town, last minute and so happy we ended up here. The staff even gave us some freee passes for the amusement park right next door. It was also very quiet in the rooms. 1 hour ride to Disney land was easy with a few transfers.

Common room, quiet location, amenities

Good place and a fun base to explore Asakusa area. A little bit of a walk from the metro stations but not too bad. Common room was great place to relax and chat with other travelers. Would definitely recommend.

Clean, Accessible and Friendly staffs!

If not for the other noisy and impolite guests, my stay would have been perfect. Anyway, the location is quite convenient and a tourist spot in itself. Just bring toiletries and towels if it's your first time to stay in a hostel.

Much beyond my expectations

Friendly staffs. International Environment. Location
8.3
I had a 5-day trip in Tokyo and got to knew this place through Agoda. I was very impressed by the international environment here. The place location is very convenient as well, only few mins walk to Sensoji. In the morning, the walk to Asakusa Station will lead you through various shopping streets which i find interesting. The staffs have ample english ability so no need to wory about language barrier. They usually hold free ( or super cheap/discounted) events for the residents. During my stay there were 2 events: kabuki and geisha. The hall is very convenient with the kitchen, laundry room and computers. Bathroom water is strong and hot enough to survive the cold in Tokyo. The only minus I would give is the basin to do wash my face. The water there is pretty cold and turned very weak when I switched to hot water.

No issues and good location

Location, access, facilities

Good stay at Sakura. Hostel is in a good location in Asakusa, only a short walk from the train station with a variety of attractions and shops close by. Instructions to find Hostel are very good. Several convenience stores very close by or the best supermarket is in the basement of the ROX department store building a short walk away. We had a twin room with 2 single beds. The Room was very small, hardly any room for your bags, perhaps having bunk beds may be a better option. Good air con and wifi in room. Shared bathroom down the half, nice and clean and modern although only 1 shower and 1 toilet for the 6 rooms on our floor (this wasn't an issue for us as it seemed to be quite in the hostel). A basic breakfast is offered for 325Yen which seems a good deal although I didn't try it to know. While I was there the hostel put on a free Geisha dance show one night, which was very good. Good social area with bar and internet computers for people to hang out. 24 hour access to building and swipe card access to room, you can get a door card each but require a 1000Yen bond for each card. Clean linen provided, you must make your own bed on arrival. No towel provided, but towels can be rented for 100Yen. Very nice english speaking staff who are able to provide help and advice.

I thoroughly enjoyed .The reception staff spoke good English and they were able to explain things clearly. I was taken ill during the second week of my stay. The staff were quite prompt in arranging an appointment at st Lukes hospital. Also answering endless calls from my anxious and worried children in the UK. The hostel itself needs a face lift.No space to hang clothes in rooms.wash basin taps had no water even to brush our teeth.Toilets were fairly clean but very cold in the winter Hang out area on the ground floor was cold too.
