Amazing sunrises and a relaxing break!

Fantastic location, amazing staff
9.7
We adored our week at this hotel. We stayed in a pool access room and made the most of it! The location was perfect for us and the staff were all so amazing and friendly. The hotel is located on chaweng beach but at the quieter end and away from all of the subwoofers of the party end. It was perfect as its a nice walk either down the beach or on the main road to be where all the action is and not too far away. Outside of the hotel on the main road is such a selection of restaurants, bars and shops and the beach itself is clean (by Thailand standards, not Australian standards). All up we had a great time and would recommend this hotel for anyone who would like a leisurely holiday on the beach.

A quite pleasant stay

ocean view,private beach,cozy room

We stayed at this place for four nights, and it was pretty nice. We booked an ocean view superior room and enjoyed the scene a lot on the balcony of our room. The room itself was large and clean, and you got both bath tub and shower in the well-organized bathroom. The hotel staff was amiable, friendly, and always with smiles on the face. The hotel has their own private beach, but it was a shame that there was a high hazard three out of the four nights , so we could only swim in the ocean for just one time. Their breakfast was OK, pretty much the same for our 5-day-stay with them. The scramble eggs and omelets were awesome, though. Some people might think that this place is a bit too far away from the most popular area of central and north Chaweng since it takes about 10-20 minutes to get there by foot, but it wasn't a problem for us, and you can take "taxi-trucks" as well. At least, we preferred a quieter place like this to really enjoy our vacation, and I would say that this place worth the money.

Beautiful hotel

Clean, comfortable rooms, friendly staff

We moved to Samui Resotel after staying in the heart of Chaweng beach. It is at the quieter end of the beach which is what we wanted after all the noise and hustle and bustle of central Chamweng. The town is only a short stroll away and there are some good dining options close to the hotel.

Had a 5 day 4 night stay at this property for an anniversary and Christmas celebration with my partner. Indicated this on my reservation as a special request for a double bed (can't imagine sleeping on 2 single beds on special occasion). Email correspondences were slow and non-acknowledgment (felt as if they were auto replies)- even with special request thereafter to help decorate the room to surprise my partner (and I explicitly mentioned that I'm willing to pay for it - no reply). But having read the good reviews I decided to go ahead. Afterall, the price is right for an ocean pool villa and location is quiet enough for some tranquil getaway. Here are the list of pros and cons: Pros: - good location, view and price - friendly staffs (must say all of them are really sweet and professional) - separate beach and room towels and slippers provided - love the decent size of villa pool - washing powder provided for some simple washing (love the thought) - 1 for 1 promotion for drinks - private beach Cons: - felt very neglected and ignored with my special requests (this is the first ever hotel that has successfully made us feel this way). - no privacy: be warned, staffs will be accessing the exterior part of villa when they want to (fair enough though, the exterior part is not secured with anything and anyone could have climbed in to use the facilities - the dustbin was missing the 3rd night). Just make sure you're fully presentable at all times! - low quality towels and bedsheets Overall, feels like (at least the ocean pool villa I was staying in) need some refurbishing or renovation. I'd definitely be more than willing to pay USD200 extra per night to stay at some other villas (initially thought samui resotel could be decent enough at this price).

Samui Redotel for our babymoon!

the location, the cleanliness, the staff professionalism
9.3
I booked the ocean view pool villa as a surprise for my husband as well since my birthday and our wedding anniversary is on the same day. He was totally blown away by the view! The wifi was superb since there is a wifi modem in the villa itself. Breakfast was a simple one for us since there were pork/non halal items. But no issues there. Would've loved if they have an in-house spa that we could patronise. The villa itself was excellent! I almost didnt want to leave the villa as it was so comfy and just wished i could laze around in my own private pool or get an amazing tan on my lounge chair. But we have such a short amount of time, we have to make do with touring as well as making the most of the room. And btw, the bathtub in the toilet is HUGE too! It can fit both me & my husband! Thanks for making this babymoon a memorable one for us! Will definitely come back here with my kids! Thanks for everything!

Chaweng beach hotel

Nice beach, nice hotel and located in chaweng street
8.7
The hotel is very strict on head count while staying at this hotel. Normally most of the hotel won't mind how many of you stay in the room once you are paid but not on this one. So be prepare to pay extra charge if you are bringing in kids above 3 years old will be charge extra 200baht per night and 1600baht for 12 years old and above per night. Even though if your room has 2 queen size bed which easily can sleep up to 4 person, but you will still need to pay the extra charge for the other two. So think properly before you booked. Others than this the hotel is the best place to stay in for couples. Kids pool and kids club are not available here. Although the hotel is call resort and spa but there is no spa and sauna available here. Beach chair and table are provided at the beach. The sand are soft and the sea side are not steep compare to others area in chaweng beach. Beware of stray dogs. My friend got hurt when one of the dogs suddenly gone crazy or too excited and the dog jump on her. Many stall, massage shop, restaurant and a 24 hours convenience shop are located along the street in walking distance.

Modern hotel, but remote location

Clean Beach, Quiet and clean
6.7
Beach was clean but lacks vegetation or tree cover. Wave was strong during monsoon period so not suitable for swimming. Location is at the southern end of Caweang, so quite a distance away from center of activities. Stayed on level 2 but sound proofing in the room was not good so could hear road traffic all night.

Ocean Pool Villa - Amazing

View, Room, Staff
8.3
We stayed in an ocean pool villa for three nights. We had our own private pool overlooking the beach which was amazing. I would highly recommend this room. Breakfast and food in the restaurant was nice. Pool area was big enough with a bar and a gym overlooking it. Pool access rooms looked nice (pools were clean) but we would definetly recommend the villa if it's in your budget. There was a double and a big single bed. Bathroom was huge and there was great storage space. The villa was very like a beach house. The hotel is at the quiet end of Chaweng Beach. We walked into the centre (Ark bar area) every night it took about 30-40 mins but there are alot of shops and restaurants along the way. We got a taxi back for 200 baht. Staff were lovely and very helpful.
