Good Location in Chinatown

Location
7.7
3-storey shophouse hotel, no lift, only escalator going up to 2nd & 3rd level, narrow corridor. Not suitable for elderly visitors and small childrens Good location with nearby metro station few minutes away, in Chinatown area, earteries neaerby Standard room no windown twin beds, space is quite small but it is expected in the city area, but the beds are not placed side by side so only 1 bed facing TV which mouted on the wall. Toilet cum shower room flooring is quite flat so after shower the water will spill onto the whole restroom. Toilet paper keep dropping from the holder onto the floor and become wet Maybe there is a store room beside our room and also the flooring are mostly wood, so sometimes noise can hear from outside. It will be fine if you are seldom inside the room Hot water, coffee/tea bags outside a counter at the corridor area on each level Free breakfast come with room, simple toast+jam/butter/cereal+milk/hotdog self, staffs at the breakfast area are quite nice

convenient but tiny

right in the middle of chinatown
6.3
Love the location, being in Chinatown and one minute away from a great hawker centre. Having said that, the very small size of the room and a toilet so small that you have to sit sideways unless you are 3 or under means I am unlikely to stay here again.

Good value for Singapore

Location

Good value single room, excellent location (Chinatown best area in Singapore)Hotel is former Chinease Opera House well converted to Hotel. Constant music in all areas is a problem for daytime sleep and no soap in bathroom a minor irritation. Simple breakfast is ok.
Nightlife Tip: Clarke quay before 9mm for happy hour drinks is ok , prefer boat quay restaraunts and bars. Still Chinatown best value for food and drink.

Small and Clean Hotel

Good location in middle of China Town
8.7
There are two doors to acess the hotel, one gate on temple street, the other on smith street. There are food stalls lined up on temple street at night, very convenient to find your favorite Chinese food. It is easy to experience chinese culture, buy local souvinors and chinese herbal medicines.

Heart of ChinaTown, nice and clean, tiny rooms

extremely clean, good friendly staff, location is amazing
8.3
this place is literally in the heart of chinatown. down the road, you will see plenty of food stalls, you will be spoilt for choice. the hotel itself is nice, staff is good and the lobby and the spaciousness of the hotel makes you think, why did they make such tiny rooms? or maybe it was just a single room that was tiny and the other rooms are fine. I was here just for a day, so it wasn't a big problem. The view outside the window was sweet, the wifi internet just worked and overall i had a positive experience. The pagoda is around the block and several things to do just within walking distance of the hotel.
Shopping Tip: Lomography gallery is round the corner

Friendly Staff, Excellent Common Area, Small Room

Good Location, Beautiful Structure
7.7
The staff are friendly. Nice Breakfast although with limited choice. Facinating interior decoration. Generally small hotel room.
Hotel Feature Tip: The guest room supplies are overall limited. Perfect if you bring along your own towel, toothbrush, etc.

Decent room but slightly pricey

Comfortable enough for a backpacker
6.7
The price is slightly more expensive, but the stay is overall good. Breakfast buffet is simple yet just nice to recharge your day. The bathroom is slightly too small and there's hardly any space for you to stand under the shower head. A safety deposit box is also provided in the room which came in handy when you have valuables. The hotel is also located close to Chinatown MRT, which is convenient for travelers/ backpackers.

Very odd room. I don't expect huge hotel rooms in Singapore, but this one was just odd. It was on a corner and had shuttered windows all the way around two sides. The bed was at an odd angle and there was no where to put luggage except on the floor. There was no fridge or mini bar and the bathroom was tiny - the kind with the shower almost on top of the toilet. Having said that, the location was good. There is a food street right outside, though it was all closing up when I went, as I arrived late from the airport. One restaurant was happy to whip something up for me while the staff had their dinner though. I only stayed one night, so it was all good - not sure I'd want to stay longer though. It is very close to the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple, which was the attraction I wanted to visit. Didn't really explore much else of the area. Breakfast in the café was good. Wifi was also good.

Great location but small rooms

Very friendly staff, very clean facility, breakfast area a bit small, gets hot and overcrowded, food is fine though and plentiful.Lovely Singapore lady looking after everyone.

This is my second stay here, love the area, some members of staff remembered me from earlier in the year, unfortunately it was because I arrived from Nepal so sick from food poisoning, but they did look after me well. Some of this hotel overlooks Chinatown food street but even on Saturday night..............Karaoke time.............the external noise was ok. Take a look around this hotel, its history is quite impressive.
