Santiago Bay Resort Camotes
The resort was good and clean and the beach was fantastic. We just had a hard time going around and exploring the rest of camotes island as tricycles were limited and quite expensive at P150/person per way.

nice place
the view from the restaurant is amazing.. but the place is not friendly to persons with disability since the reception is quite far from the restaurant/parking area/rooms and there are a lot of steps/stairs. The staff is friendly. The bathroom somehow smells-- i think the contractor/plumber forgot to put p-trap

Not what i expected
I am a frequent traveler and most of my hotel/accommodation is quite good and i wasnt expecting about the low airconditioning (it was small and old type) tv was broken, no telephone (so you can communicate special request), no electric kettle atleast and hair blower. Other than facilities, staff were welcoming and helpful.

Great Looking Resort but has big WATER PROBLEMS
Huge White Sand Beach, Well kept grounds, and pool.and location close to Consuelo Port
Looked at other reviews before booking with this resort. Most were very positive about this resort except for the lack of water pressure in the rooms. Our room also had that same problem of no water pressure for taking a warm shower or washing your hands in the vanity sine even though there 4 huge water tanks just on the outside of our C R room window. Most all the rooms have the back of the room adjacent to the main access road to Village of Santiago, so gets quite noisy in the morning with kids going to school plus an occasional dog barking in the middle of the night. Would I stay there again, Yes I difinently would, as over all loved the white sand beach. Have seen some complain about the lack of water when the tide goes out, but there is still plenty of water to go swimming in, with a little walk though nice warm sand. Most every one I saw in the beach were walking along the waters edge or building sand castles with their kids. Next to the Resort, in the village on the beach they have jet ski's and other water toys you can rent. NOTE: When booking from Danao City make sure you get the ferry that stops in Consuelo, as its the closet to the resort. Also there are a group of motorcycle drivers ready to take you touring around the 2 islands. Also take a good look at Front desk map and photo graph it to see what and where you might like to go touring. We went during a dry spell in El Nino year so waterfalls were weak or dry, but Busay falls is spring fed and was delightful in the cool pool below the falls. The cave we visited was a little cooler then the outside temperature and had healing brackish water that at high tide would mix with the fresh water of the cave.
