Very disappointing
4.3
Goodness….where do I start? My husband & I have travelled quite extensively, & this hotel would have to be the worst place we have ever stayed. Don’t get me wrong, the beautiful lady at reception could not have been nicer or more helpful, but this in no way made up for the sub- standard accommodation. A steep ramp greeted us on arrival then 2 flights of stairs with our luggage (no elevator) Our room was quite spacious but the bed & pillows were as hard as rocks….each to their own, some like it that way. The bathroom was unbelievable. The shower recess had mould growing between every tile & there was a massive crack in the fiberglass tray. A sign said to wait 10 minutes after showing before the next shower as the water heater had to warm up. This wasn’t overly inconvenient except when it heated water very loudly at odd times during the night. The towels smelt lovely & clean but were paper thin & very small. The room had no safe. My husband & I don’t look for budget accommodation, we are often guided by the rankings & comments. Those people who called this hotel a home away from home definitely do not live in a home like mine. We are not ‘princesses’, but this accommodation was a huge disappointment & I feel most westerners would agree.

Wonderful staff and breathtaking view

The hotel is located on a relatively quiet street but still within easy walking distance to the central. The staff are very friendly and caring. Even though there are not many choices on the breakfast menu everything is delicious and freshly cooked as ordered. The building is a little old but everything still functions perfectly. Shower is very strong with plenty of hot water and mattress is quite soft too. The best thing about this hotel is still the view from the window which looks directly to the valley, mountains, and terraced rice fields. Once the fog and clouds clear up you'll be presented with a breathtaking view of Sapa from above. Breakfast is served on the top floor with a large rooftop terrace which makes having your breakfast while overlooking the valley even more ethereal. Biggest problem is the frequent and loud barking of the dogs at night. Otherwise, it was a wonderful stay.

Sapa Eden Hotel Review

Mrs Trang, the receptionist is fabulous! She is so warm snd wonderful! All if the staff are lovely!
7.7
We had a great time and felt right at home. The staff are very obliging and did their best to help us out with tours, guides, meals at the hotel and anything we needed. Ms Trang was particularly wonderful and has such a bubbly, warm personality and is very funny too! Recommend staying at Sapa Eden!

location, staff friendliness, big room

I always want a room with balcony and fresh flow air .. plus big room where I can do my other things other than just sleeping. the junior suite with day bed and 2 balconies are just great and we have view to the valley and the mountains ... cool! the front office staff is also so nice and helpful. she tried to offer some tours but didn't push when we said we'd like to have a motorbike rental instead. toilet is a bit smelly from outside the bedroom and hot water runs only about 10 minutes and need another 10-15 mins to recharge due to small tank but we have no problem with that. the heater aircon in the room is very useful.

Amazing staff and views

Had an amazing stay here. Great location, uninterrupted views, a street back from theaim centre so you don't get hustle and bustle. Lovely warm staff always willing to offer their assistance. Will come back again without a doubt! Breakfast, just plain so don't expect much from here but I didn't mind. As long as it fueled me for the day. Warm showers temperamental but just takes time to get adjusted that's all

beware

Beware There are several hotels in Sapa under one owner They are selling rooms in the established ones but when you arrive you are told there is an issue with your rooms and they need to move you to another hotel -- hotel that has fewer and worse reviews than the one you've chosen. They tried to give us a worse room (smaller, no balcony, no view, room in basement) than the one we booked. We were being lied to constantly by the staff regarding the booking situation and room availability. Don't believe a single word they say and insist you get the precise hotel and room you booked. Breakfast is plentiful (while basic) -- in Sapa Lodge, that's where we ended up in. Rooms are basic and not very clean. There are also funny notices on the wall with threats to the guests.
