The staff, the beach, the facilities
Myself and a group of friends had the most amazing stay at this resort. The private beach is absolutely stunning, the spa service is super luxurious and impossible to resist with all the offers they had running. The staff are so accommodating to your every need, they greet you every day with smiles and laughter. We also loved the pet dogs and cats - especially 'So White, So Smooth' the cat who sleeps in the most inconvenient of places for the staff. I would thoroughly recommend this place to anyone! the value for money is fantastic, I would say it's at least a 4 star rather than 3*! xxxxxx

Paradise away from the party

The bed, the view, the staff
Initially booked for three nights and even though there were a couple of small issues we extended for another two nights. Staff are amazingly attentive. The beach was peaceful. Nothing seemed too much trouble. It's a perfect hideaway. Only thing is the pool by the beach isn't that great..

Full moon

The staff were great, along with a great breakfast buffet and evening menu. They put on a full moon buffet, which was second to none
Very relaxed, friendly and would stay again. The only down side was the fact the bar closed at 10.30pm, meaning you had to venture into town for more drinks....though it was only a 5 min walk

Beautiful Beach

location, bed, price
I stayed in two rooms during my stay, the Deluxe and the Standard. The Deluxe cost about $20 more (700 baht) more. The Deluxe had a nicer shower and a slight ocean view through the trees, but the Standard had a bum gun in the toilet (Deluxe did not). Other than that, no real difference or reason to pay more. The staff are very friendly and the front desk crew are very knowledgeable about the transport options to/from/around the island and can make arrangements for you, and they add a modest fee of 30-50 baht to the tickets. Nina is especially personable and enthusiastically helpful. My only complaint would the wi-fi, which is free at the restaurant but you have to pay for in the rooms, is very slow and unreliable. Overall, this a nicely run, basic hotel for a fair price, on a beautiful, tranquil, hassle free beach and within walking distance of Had Rin Beach town area with restaurants, shops, etc. I would be glad to stay there again.

Great beach, rooms a bit tired but comfortable

Good service, right on the beach, helpful staff
Good location directly on the beach. Rooms are fine, nothing overly impressive but comfy enough. Breakfast was good, but other food is just ok, the Thai food is westernized and the western food is Thai-ized. The staff are very friendly, give good advice, and don't overcharge for the convenience of arranging trips, etc. You can easily walk to Had Rin but don't rent a bike there, instead go near the pier and find Harp Bar. The pools at the hotel are fine but not really necessary.

My Stay at Sarikantang during the Full Moon Party

Buffet breakfast, cleanliness and service
Sarikantang is a great and luxurious type place to stay however quite far from the Haad Rin beach so not convenient in that sense. Worse still is the road to get to the resort. There are hardly any signs and its not a safe walk by yourself especially at night. What really made me dislike this palce is the fact that the resort tried to overchage me by 8000 baht saying I hadnt paid for my rooms or for my laundry. Also, on the night of the Full Moon Party, they state there is a compulsory buffet dinner to which you HAVE to pay 1000 baht for. After all the issues were resolved there was still concern I hadnt paid for my laundry when I had infact paid previously but did not keep the receipt. It left a dampening experience on what would've been a great accommodation to stay at.

Has a private beach

Private beach, quiet, less crowds
The place although on the tip of haad rin beach about 5-10 minute walk from the center is very quiet during the non full moon party week. It has its own private beach which was a treat. Staff are very nice and friendly. The dining area could improve with cleanliness, a lot of flies... Although thats common in Thailand, flies alo r while you eat. But overall this place is really nice and comfortable. Did I say it has a private beach?
