Savoy Hotel is a historical hotel and considered an architectural gem with its Anton Rosen art nouveau style. Built in 1906, it is one of the few remaining buildings still in this original style. The front facade contains artificial sandstone, wrought iron, copper, and gilded ornaments. Inside, the gorgeous main staircase contains detailed stucco. The hotel was listed as a historical building in 1985. This beautifully preserved building contains six floors and 66 rooms with private bathrooms. The rooms are light and airy and designed in Scandinavian style, with blue carpets and wooden furniture. All rooms face the courtyard and have wireless Internet. If this wasn't enough, the Savoy is only a few minutes walk from the Central Station, Tivoli Gardens, and Strøget, the longest shopping street in the world. Experience the historical side of Copenhagen by making your stay at the legendary Savoy Hotel. Excellent Reception service & delicious breakfast

1) Reasonable Price 2) Hotel along routes of many buses 3) Good Reception Staff
After we got out of the main entrance of Central Station, we were at a lost to look for this hotel. It was infact on the left of the main entrance of Central Station, 300 meters along the road and we saw a weary sign - Savoy Hotel. First impressions were not favourable. At the reception counter, we were surprised at the friendliness of the staff and how well versed she was with even bus routes. No words can describe our gratefulness for this great Ms Yeti! As we were going to Ocean Quay to board the Norwegian Star (many guests checked in this hotel) ,she gave us alot of recommendations and information on the bus routes. We saved alot on transportation as we took the public bus 26 and then switch to 27 for direct to Ocean Quay. She even printed out the time schedule of the buses for us. We booked 2 rooms, well, the rooms were compact, clean and beds comfortable. As the early summer was quite cold, we had no problems with the room temperature. The breakfast was good and the buns and danish bread was yummy! This hotel also had a free flow of coffee or tea from the dispenser at the compact lobby. All the staff were friendly and helpful, they even allowed us to park our luggage for half a day after our cruise. So kind of them! We heard that many guests returned to this hotel because of the greatness of the staff's service. I am not surprised!

Great Location, Friendly Staff

friendly staff, great location, clean room
The location is great as it is only a short walk to the Central Station and bus stops. There are also many restaurants in the nearby area. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Check in and check out procedure was quick and easy. The room was very small but was clean. The breakfast was a really good value as they served freshly baked bread and Danish pastries.

A good night sleep before leaving by train

Close to railway, price and breakfast
The hotel provided me with a okey bed in a very small room, and a good traditional Danish breakfast, and a smile when checking out in the morning. A hotel I can recommend.

kindly staff , tea maker, safty box
I enjoyed talking to nice and helpful staff. They helped me a lot. there was a electric kettle in the room . drinking tea or instant coffee was very pleasant. The room was clean and has a safety box. But unfortunately they did not provide slippers in bathroom.

Elegant hotel and good location

Walking distance to a variety of restaurants and attractions
The room was small, but cozy and I guess a reasonable price within the city centre of Copenhagen. I would certainly consider it again for a short stay. The continental breakfast was a tad sparse. The free wi-fi worked quite well though.

hotel is very small. but quite clean.
hotel doesn't provide slippers and complimentary waters. There is a big supermarker near the hotel so can buy some food. It is near to Central station.
