Savoy Hotel is just a 10-minute walk to Schwedagon Pagoda. Other attractions are all a short taxi ride down the street. Rooms by the pool can be quieter than those facing the road which does have some traffic. There is a lovely reading room on-site where one can enjoy a drink or simply read the paper. This boutique hotel is one of the top places to stay in Yangon. One of the more memorable details that leaves a lasting impression on guests is the collection of antiques and art that's spread around the hotel.

Pleasant experience

1) helpful and friendly staff. 2) the cleanliness 3) the cozy ambiance
It was a pleasant experience with friendly and helpful staff. The service was excellent . Loved the decor and the ambiance . Place was well maintained. However, there is room for improvement in the speed of the wifi and breakfast selection/choice. We will definitely come back again ton the Savoy as the overall experience was good.

Absolutely Lovely!

Facilities, service, breakfast
Wonderful oasis in the middle of a busy city. Beautiful grounds. Courtyard with a pool, outside bar, dining, trees and bougainvillea. Classy, but not stuffy. Welcoming French Colonial hotel. Wooden floors. Tastefully decorated. The service was impeccable. Easy walk to Shwedegon pagoda.

Amazing staff elegant ambience gracious hotel

Staff, staff, staff
Amazing old world elegance. Gracious - and staff went above and beyond. Another driver mistakenly took my husbands backpack containing meds wallet , vital stuff. 3 staff ended up at the airport tryingd to resolve it, find the driver find the pack. Driver returned it to hotel and all worked out, after 2 hours of anxiety. Staff lent me phone which got lost at security in all the drama. Found it, but faultless service throughout our stay. Beautiful people. Lovely hotel.

Colonial style Gem

1. Staff were lovely , v attentive, really gives a personal touch 2. Hotel environment was peaceful, relaxing. 3. Turn down service every night was nice, with fruit basket and flowers.
Staff were just lovely, v personal, seem to genuinely care for guests' wellbeing. Further, hotel was charming and relaxing. Fresh bouquet of flowers in room with nightly turn down service and two stalks of roses w fruit basket- lovely. Points for improvement- breakfast spread can be improved to include more choices and freshly squeezed orange juice. "For sale" signs in display cabinets can seem tacky.

Above and beyond service

Historic preservation, dining on balcony, staff service
Short but incredible. We arrived in late evening and were catching flight very early in AM they provided a picnic breakfast ready at our early checkout.

Peaceful Colonial oasis in downtown Yangon

Colonial Style, friendly staff, beautiful pool.
Fantastic service, gorgeous authentic colonial style suite....peace and quiet in hectic Yangon. Highly recommend paying the extra for a suite. As for one of the rooms at the back of the hotel away from the road. Due to nature of the building and it's many steps, possibly not the best choice for mobility challenged guests...for everyone else this is a real gem of a hotel!

A calm oasis in a bustlingcity

Gorgeous pool, Spacious Rooms, Customer focussed staff
Savoy hotel is among the best in Yangon, with (high) price to match. Even though located away from the main tourist area, I found the location great since its walking distance to Shwedagon Pagoda and many restaurant options are nearby. The staff work very hard to provide excellent customer service.
