I am used to backpacking, but this place was dreadful. I do not think it had been cleaned since it was built. Filthy linen and room. Shower broken. You had to ask for everything. Wifi, towel, toilet paper. No service to speak of. Its an ok location but you could definantely do better for your money.

A hotel in a good location

Location, food nearby and many travel agency around the area.
This is a very old hotel but the location is good. Very easy to get food in the area. There are many travel agency around so booking a day trip is not an issue. The famous Khao San Road is just nearby. Only recommended for a one or 2 days stay.

Receommend for a short stay.

Loaction, attractions nearby and many food stalls around
The location of this hotel is good. The Grand Palace is nearby. You could also take the boat ride along the river. However, maintenance of the building is required in order to get people to come back. The hotel is not that clean. The basin in the first shared toilet on the 1st floor is damaged but not repaired. When I on the tap, the water just flow onto the floor and wet my legs. The second toilet has a big hole on the false roof. I would only recommend for a short stay in this hotel as there are many hotels in this area and I am sure you can find a better hotel with the similar price.

I will not come back this hotel

Location: It's very near to night market, Gand Palace
Terrible, We had problem from the beginning. When we arrived hotel after the flight (about 10 p.m) - hungry and tired, they said that they had no information about our booking via Agoda. We had booked 6 double rooms but at that time, they had only 3 available rooms for us. After checking with Agoda service, we had 4 rooms for 12 people and discount of 10% of our total booking fee. But the main problem which I felt not satisfy at that time is the attitude of the staff. He is not friendly when solving our problem. If it had been not too late that time, we would have canceled booking and tried to find better hotel. And the hotel is not good as the pictures have shown. Rooms are old, poor and dirty. No even towel for us. A half of my team had moved to other hotel which is opposite of it even the price is double. We all agree that no one of us will come back there again.

Worst hotel night in my life
It was the first time I use agoda to make a reservation I couldnt sleep that nigh my girlfriend either I ask the "lady" to change my room because it was very dirty and tiny nothing to do with the picture you show in the app agoda, she didnt even come with me to show me the room she gave me the key of other room just to see another exactly room with walls all dirty and also smelly, now 3 or 4 days after my night in that awful place im still scratching from the bugs that were on the bed, Sawasdee Welcome Inn is worst place I have slept in my whole life and boy I have travel in awful places but this time in this disgusting "hotel" Sawasdee Welcome Inn I felt dirty and so disappointed of myself for bringing my girlfriend to this place just because is close to khao san road, i was so mad i didnt wanted to go down for not having to kill the person in the reception luckily it was not the same he just said "I DONT CLEAN ROOM, I'M HERE" and I do believe him I ask him for clean sheet and he did so, the pillows where still dirty and hard to sleep in, I didn't care about the size of the room even the broken window, but a clean bed is all I was asking for. I dont recomend this dirty hotel to anyone, they should throw away those dirty yellow oldish beds and paint the walls full of blood of mosquitoes and dirt. They dont have a restaurant they give you a ticket to go to another hotel 1 block away from them. and of course nobody speaks another language but Thai. not even a couple of words in english how do they do wonder, Is not my first time in thailand and not the last time but I will never go back to that disgusting "hotel".

No record of agoda booking.

Staff, foyer and leaving.
They had no record of my booking. I don't think I was in the correct room either. It was a 'flash' deal and was barely worth that so it was definitely not worth full price.

Terrible hotel don't stay here
We arrived late at night and couldn't find the correct sawasdee hotel- apparently there are 13 of them. Once we found it the staff person was curt and unwelcoming. We got to our room to find mold in the ceiling, a space that we couldn't even move past each other without sitting on the bed to move around, and something like a bed that was more like metal springs with a piece of cloth stretched over them. It was unbelievable uncomfortable and by far the worst place I have ever stayed. We had breakfast included with our reservation so we true it out and found ants cooked into our eggs. Can't make this stuff up. This place might be cheap, but save yourself the misery and spend a little extra to avoid staying here.
