Good location for museums, close transport links,

Friendly service, close transport links
For starters, the hotel price was very reasonable for Oslo (the most expensive city I have ever been). The location of the hotel is not in the city, but in a reasonable location if you want to visit the museums (viking ship, which is ok, and the culture museum, which is great), and not bad to go to the ski-jump area. Transport links are quite close, with a couple of bus lines that stop just a 3 minute walk from the hotel. The service was great at the hotel, and they provide computer terminal with free internet - great! Only poor thing about the hotel was the breakfast which I found pretty ordinary.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: Go see the ski-jump and culture museums - cool things in Oslo :)

basic hotel

cheap price, good connection with city center, very very good breakfast, friendly staff
When first arriving to the hotel, we took a tram which was actually a bad idea. It is much faster and easier to get there by train, only one stop from city center and takes about 5 min. The breakfast offered in the hotel is really really good! Just take care of your belongings while taking food, as we found out that there were some stealing cases in the dining room. The room was really used and basic, though, clean. We didnt spend much time in the hotel,so nothing much to say.
Shopping Tip: There is ICA shop right next to the hotel.

Relaxing at Scandic

Quiet, close to station,
We enjoyed our stay here, the hotel was clean and relaxed, it is set in a business part of town away from the centre, it was full of mostly business people, some who were holding samples shows in their rooms. It was very quiet. The room was lovely and spacious, beds comfortable, nicely decorated with free tea and coffee making provided in the room, I loved the reclining chair and footstool provided - very comfortable after a long day. Breakfast include some organic items and very nice breads. Although away from the centre there was a supermarket near by and just across the road a well known fast food restaurant with cheap burgers from only 10NOKS. Also the hotel has a left luggage room, so perfect for us as we stayed one night left the luggage all day while we visited the Polar and Folk museums at nearby Bygdoy, and then walked to Frogner Park then picked up the luggage and walked a short way to the Skoyen station and took the express train to the airport. Best of all the hotel sold us a train ticket - albeit that it was an out of date version (Oslo is currently updated its tickets), however when we showed it to the guard we were let through!
Restaurant Tip: Just across the road is a well known fast food restaurant with cheap burgers from only 10NOKS.

Nice and easy

The best feature would definitely be the breakfast, but also - the room was spacious, nice bathroom with underfloor heating, tea and coffee making facilities in the room, extra fast check in and check out, a very positive stay
The whole stay was very nice, distance to city centre, it is actually 4 kilometres but close to the Bygdoy peninsula with a lot of museums. Apart from that, the area where the hotel is located is very modern and trendy, breakfast was amazing, room quite nice and spacious, tea and coffee making facilities in the room although not stated in room description so that was a bonus considering prices in Oslo, comfy beds, quiet. The value for money - I would say it's overpriced but still one of the cheapest nice hotels in Oslo, as the prices there are outrageous!
Hotel Feature Tip: If you like to start a day with a good breakfast, this hotel will definitely match your requirements. The breakfast is so bountiful and versatile everyone will find a lot for themselves.

Scandic-not a good choice for family holidays

-There are many Scandic Hotel in the same city to choose from. -The room quite big.
This hotel is perfect for business people coz its very close to many business building , you can also take a tram 3-4 stop into the mid of the city take a walk around the tourist places such as, Aker Bryggen, Palace, Shopping Street etc. Try to avoid to have any problem in this hotel because they are not there to help you !!
Shopping Tip: At least there are a shopping mall near by, also small supermarket, Mc Donald , Pizza restaurants that you can take 2 mins walk to.

Great Oslo hotel although a bit far
Restaurants around this hotel are limited so you might need to consider it.

Prima hotel voor weinig geld

Zeer schoon, nette kamers, heerlijke bedden, minibar aanwezig (zonder inhoud), zeer uitgebreid ontbijt
