The first high-rise office building in Auckland to be converted into an apartment-hotel and renovated with style and a notable site of historic heritage, the Scenic Hotel Auckland is a fitting enterprise for vacationers looking to soak up Auckland’s historically rich atmosphere. The decorously modern high-rise is centered on the streets of Queen and Airedale, meaning guests won’t be disappointed with the location as Queen Street is notable for its bustling nightlife, shopping, and metro atmosphere. And after a day of sailing or embarking on the Edge Entertainment center nearby, there are a number of stylishly rich floor plans guests can choose to go home to, all including individual balconies and kitchenettes.

Ok but wouldn't stay again

Location, location, location
It was just ok, hotel is tired, rooms don't have double glazing so street noise an issue, first hotel in NZ and I was disappointed. Bed was really soft and I would say either really old or not a hotel standard bed but more a domesticated bed - very poor. Staff were nice, we didn't eat in the restaurant.

Scenic yes but sonic disaster

staff were friendly. Room was great. fpoofood good
Road works outside the hotel made valet parking impossible. Staff were not aware. Drove around the block several times. Staff kept telling us to park outside- needed to look out the glass door. Hair in the shower all over the soap dish. Road works (drilling) until 4.30 am and no double glazing made for very noisy night. We also had trouble with our taxi order-front desk miscommunication. However they tried very hard to get us one once the problem was found. A disappointing visit as we do not come to the city often. Great location

Stay at Scenic Hotel

Location, comfortable room, friendly staff
There was a quick and easy check-in on arrival, the room was comfortable and I slept well. Staff was very helpful and I appreciated the (very tasty) express lunch at the restaurant which allowed me to have a quick meal before heading off to the airport. Would stay there again and would recommend the hotel to others.

Old hotel but nice

Hotel a bit dated but still nice, centrally located, no direct parking access
Our stay was lovely. Our room was clean and comfy. Though I find the bed rather to soft to sleep in (got a bad backache on our last day). The toilet was compact and small, esp the shower compartment. For asian standards guess it would be enough.

Room was a disappointment

Friendly staff.
The room was old and ran down. Bathroom was small and narrow.

Good value

Location, Spacious room, Comfy bed
Very pleasant. Staff were friendly. Room was large, clean and comfortable. Minibar was very reasonably priced. Free WiFi worked well. Walking distance to everywhere in the CBD. Breakfast at cafe/restaurant was good. Would definitely stay here again.
