We had a wonderful experience. The Seikoro Ryokan had great facilities and a classic ryokan experience. It is a short walk from the older part of the city and a bit of a longer walk to the more modern downtown. The staff was very attentive and for reference they exchanged USD for Yen at the best rate we received in Japan. Their kaiseki dinner was delicious and it should be noted that this is a particular experience to be enjoyed in Kyoto.

Clean, classical, but with a too small room
Clean, classical, new experience
This is a classical and old-style hotel to stay to get new experiences. Overall this is an unforgettable stay, but the room is a little bit too small.

Great Experience
Traditional japanese hotel
Unforgettable experience. The room is larger than I expected. Very nice staff. The only thing is that it's a little noisy as the hotel is closed to a main road.

Best 5 star hotel
Food, service and friendly staff
If you choose this hotel, the dinner set is a must for you to enjoy the most traditional Japanese food. The staff are friendly and always try to give you a good personal touch.

Excellent Ryokan
The staff was incredibly nice and accomodating (and extremely adorable), the food was wonderful, and the decor/ambience lovely.
My friends and I had a wonderful time during our stay at Seikoro. The location was near a train stop, and the staff was more than wonderful. They were incredibly welcoming and accomdating, and the lady who served our room was more than adorable. The ryokan was clean, and the ambience was relaxing. I would definitely recommend this place.

Quite nice but overpriced compared to other ryokan
My room attendant, nicely decorated room, short way to the Keihan line,
It was ok but not excellent, at least when the price is taken into account.
